That looks nice. I like the body color matched ones as well. Don't think I would want LEDs there but I haven't seen many photos of that. That's a great color BTW!
It looks more complex than it is. I think it is definitely doable. There are several brands that offer plug-n-play solutions for speakers (Bavsound, bimmertech, morel IP or IR series, or Focal IS bmw are all options). As far as amplifiers go, you have a couple of options. For a fully plug-in...
Thanks for trying to be helpful with your response. That bimmerfest ( https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/ista-download-link-no-request.1023698/ https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/ista-download-link-no-request.1023698/ ) download link is broken. I think it used to work but there has been an...
Search button? What is that exactly? I've never heard of such a thing. Now you are just being silly.
The point is that we should not accept something just because a workaround exists.
"Especially when Toyota initially offered it for free." My understanding was that Toyota ISTA was offered as a no cost add on to techstream (which I thought was available offline for version 14.10.033 based on all of the "bundled" cable/software packages for sale online) but I now see that the...
I'll admit I was feeling a bit surly when I wrote that. (Primarily because I have a BMW ISTA subscription and had just found out it would recognize my Supra but is not actually compatible.) I would just like to be able to buy a piece of software and not worry about a subscription. I know I'm...
You are right. It is an overly simplistic statement trying to describe a complex situation. As a result, it is not helpful. All I'm asking for is for you to clarify what I'm missing. I am willing to learn and I know there are tons of people who understand this better than I do.
What am I missing about my ability to care for and repair a piece of hardware that I ostensibly own outright? If that is self entitlement then I am guilty as charged. For the record, I'm not opposed to paying for software at all. I would also be happy to pay for updates but once a car is no...
I think it’s predatory to require a subscription for a piece of software required to be able to fix your car which you own outright. Especially when Toyota initially offered it for free. This also means that when your car is out of warranty it will be more difficult to find an independent shop...
This is such a load of bullshit. Car is no longer being produced after this year and they want $1500 per year for a subscription for diagnostic software? Fuck BMW and fuck Toyota.
I didn't notice a lot more NVH but I did some interior sound deadening so YMMV. It does require drilling a single hole but it is very easy and they supply everything you need to do it.
