n54 owner here pushing over 600 to the tire. Seen plenty in the 700's. Looks like the b58 will be even stronger, high compression, and unbeatable thermal efficiency with that w2a manifold.
Found a thread documenting several people having an issue with the heat exchanger/w2a intercooler on their s55s.
"So about two weeks later I start the car in the morning drive train malfunction running rough but this time I don't shut it off and get out of the car to check under the hood and...
ZFs are reliable well past their torque ratings. In the bmw n54/n55 communities, the standard 6hp26 is reliable past 650wtq with a simple flash tune on the TCU.

As a BMW owner who works on his car and has taken it to several independent euro (not even bmw-specialist) mechanics, I'm also confused. Yes, sometimes you need bmw-licensed software to reset things but it's generally available. Sometimes the manual says you need bmw tool # blah blah but you can...

q60's are around the same price point $50+ but took market signals and are...
My experience with dealers is that if you change the downpipe, you void the turbo warranty as they're literally connected and back pressure matters. If you tune/flash/chip the car, you void the warranty for fueling, engine, ecu/dme, perhaps even unrelated electronics modules. That being said...
Yeah, the seats in all modern bmw seats are heavy AF, try 80+lbs.
Battery in trunk and spring/shock separation are standard configs for bimmers. Getting the battery out is a PITA tho.
I was also excited to see both m5 driveshaft and axles -- axles were a notorious weak-link on the other high...
I'm moderately happy to see the cupholders. The slide-out tray style bmw has been using suck and break easily. The downside is the cupholder placement definitely does not suggest a manual with gear-rowing as elbow would hit drinks
I don't use JB4. Android phone + software + OBD2 cable direct write of maps to dme/ecu.
