Maybe so, maybe not...
Relatively small and ambitious companies, that are not constrained by upper-management, arbitrary budgets or needless bureaucracy, can achieve great things. Unfortunately these same ambitious minds have a tendency to "over promise, and under deliver".
In the early days of YouTube, I uploaded a video about one of the electronic projects I was working on. The highest rated comment was that I needed to learn how to solder. What's funny is that I am certified by NASA to perform solders on man-rated spacecraft. So good enough for the space...
In any event, it probably won't come down to age when it comes to scoring a test drive in an A90. Once the big metro dealers have 4-5 on the lot at any given time... sure. However the small fry shops that only have 1, and it's centerpiece of the showroom.... chances are low.
In the US, when a person (Craig Jackson in this case) purchases an item at auction for charity, they can claim the entire amount above FMV (fair market value) as a tax deduction. The company (Toyota) only gets to write off the FMV of the car they donated.
TL;DR version:
I don't understand the cost of new engine engineering and manufacturing
I was too young when the MKIV came out, and too broke to buy one now.
DON"T CALL IT A SUPRA!!!
Random gasping sobs, and snot sniffling
PROS:
Exterior Styling: It's like when a beautiful woman walks into a bar in a little black dress, either you like what you see or you don't. Well the Supra walked in, and I slid out the stool next to me.
Chassis: Rigid chassis, perfect balance, good geometry, low CG... all items that are...
I actually was going to include the caveat of "...a regular production blue color and not anything bespoke like Lexus Structural Blue" But I decided that was being to pedantic, and didn't go with it. Now I know better.:p
Yes, it's the same color. To me Mediterranean-blau (Downshift Blue) is just a generic blue color, neither awe inspiring nor horrible. Out of genuine curiosity, what is a good looking blue?
No but... the models don't line up like that. It'd be more accurate to say:
A90 194HP 4-cyl = A80 NA
A90 255HP 4-cyl = ???
A90 335HP 6-cyl = A80 TT
A90 GRMN 6-cyl = ???
I'm sure they translated it directly from Japanese, but into what language?
A car where driver and car resonate towards a world defined by "driving pleasure."
It's like listening to someone with a thick Irish accent while you're drunk. You hear all of the words... and you know what they...
Holy Crap! Now THAT would be fun...
roo-roo-roo-wurrrrr *BANG* wuurrRRRR *BANG* WUURRRRRRRRR!!!! *BANG* VROO-VROOO-VROOOOM!!!
Hell, I wouldn't even go anywhere. Just sit in the garage making the sound effects.
It's probably for the best that a lot of MKIV owners don't like the A90. Some people think MKIV owners are jerks, everybody knows that BMW drivers are jerks. So if you put an A80 owner behind the wheel of a BMW powered Supra... the arrogance waves alone would rip a hole in the fabric of space...
You know the old expression, you may make enough money to buy a Ferrari, but you don't make enough to own one... well it's like that with BMW's to a lesser degree. The typical BMW starts off as a lease. Guy drives it around, takes it to the dealer when it needs service, and tosses the keys back...
Fun Fact: I got to watch parts of the moon tower party scene being filmed. Interestingly enough, the park they shot it in didn't actually have a "moon light tower" in it. They just used lighting rigs. A couple of my friends were extras in that scene and the ones shot at the pool hall.

Again with f'ing vents. If you're going to complain about fake vents, at least get it right. The little teardrop vents below the headlights could be modified for brake ducts, i guess, but why would you? Considering it already has functional brake ducts.
I'd definitely click on the Supra Hybrid Build Thread :p
"I need a little help. Does anyone know how to completely disable the regenerative breaking feature on the Prius C ECM? It's the Denso 9990 if that helps. Thanks!"
