Took it in for its last free oil change and found out that I have the dreaded leaky transmission seal. They say they can have it all fixed up tomorrow. I guess we shall see. Must admit that this is the first real issue I've had with the car. Hopefully it's not the start of a trend
And that is a much different issue than specifically permitting an insurance company to monitor my driving. It is not at all likely that my insurance company is going to subpoena my cell phone location data in order to limit, reduce or deny liability in a claim.
I am constantly amazed at just...
I will NEVER willingly allow any company or entity to have access to my driving data, no matter what amount of savings is promised or afforded. Insurance companies do not make money by paying claims.

I've always used them with great results. Have a V1 Gen1 in my Supra and another in the wife's car. I've been reluctant to go to the Gen2 as, here is California they really only use Ka and Laser so I just disable the other bands and I like the analog knob.
Yeah, there is definitely that. Fortunately, aside from the tune, I am completely stock so chances are reduced. But there's always that one yahoo determined to make an example out of you. Life is risky, I guess :p
I just got my 2020 tuned on Ecutek and love it. I guess my outlook is that I don't have to worry about it until 2028 when I'll have to start getting the car smogged. By then, who the heck knows what nasty tricks California is going to be playing. Hopefully, I'll be long gone by then but if I...
I mean, no offense but that gap difference is pretty blatant and obviously indicates some kind of installation failure. The upside of paying a shop to install something is, if it’s not right, you can bring it back. In this case, I would march right back to the shop and have them fix it.
Seems like that trunk lip/edge is a good candidate for some PPF. Since there is no proper spot for lifting the trunk lid, you just have to stab your fingers in there to open it.
Well, maybe not weird. If you do have one of those silly SWAT things installed and the service was "cancelled" or deactivated, it may have taken a few weeks for it to process or the subscription to expire? Not sure how the service works but they're supposed to be able to access it remotely...

Same sound.
You have one of these installed?

Someone else had something like this as well. I want to say the sound was identical. It was an aftermarket "tracking" or security something that was misconfigured. Definitely not an OEM sound
Funny, I would be talking to my tire shop WAY before putting a vendor on public blast for this. Based on your explanation, this was discovered AFTER installation with no visible signs that the damage happened in transit. So, what's more likely here; the vendor packed a damaged wheel, or the...
Yeah, then I got nothing on that. Definitely appears to be the panic alarm based on the code. Not sure what's triggering it. Faulty FOB? Maybe try driving with the other FOB and see if it happens again?
Sitting on the key fob and triggering the panic alarm?
The first code is this. If you keep hitting your lock button on the fob, it actually deactivates the interior motion sensor and tilt sensor (for people who leave dogs and kids in locked cars, I suppose):
With cruise turned on, hold down either one of the distance control buttons. A message will appear stating radar control has been deactivated, or something like that. This will turn it into regular, old school cruise control. Repeat process to re-activate. No idea if this "setting" survives...
It's funny. This was one of the first pieces I got for my car and I completely forgot it was aftermarket until seeing this post. Such a clean interior upgrade and one of my favorite NVS pieces. I prefer a very clean, simple, not overly "done" look and this one nails it. Do recommend!
