If it's the OEM front PPF, then no. It's like the first 18-24 inches from the front lip. There is also a front bumper OEM PPF option that mine did not come with.
Yeah, mine came with the PPF on the front of the hood. Not a dealbreaker for me. I can't recall if that's a dealer installed option or port installed, but that one is actually OEM like the carbon mirror covers or the rear mat.
Well, the sales model they use is they sell directly to the dealerships and the units are installed as a "Dealership Option" before the cars are even sold. When you buy the car, they sell you the "add-on" and if you decline, they just deactivate the unit. But it's definitely NOT OEM and is...
A quick Google search and that's the same company that makes the useless KARR aftermarket "Alarms". So they almost certainly installed some module in your car that is almost certainly causing this. I would insist they immediately remove it (The car has GPS tracking from the factory) and refund...
It has to do with a EU law regarding speedometers. So all European cars do this.

No official update. Nothing from Toyota at all. Not even an acknowledgement that the issue exists. All anecdotal at this point. I can tell you that since updating, I have not experienced the issue. Others make similar claims.
Every dealership is different. Some won't even touch the...
Added a little Visconti sauce. Holy shit, completely different car!! And I’m still on a stock DP, exhaust and intake. Guess I’m gonna have to explore a catted DP now.
Those DME connectors are tricky SOBs. Took 3 tries before the car would start after bench unlocking.
Mad props to John...
Well, that means that your current code is later than the recall level.
Honestly, when I had the issue, there was absolutely nothing wrong that the dealer or I could find. Battery, charging system, voltage...all fine. I just ignored it and when I got updated, it went away.
So you haven't had the brake recall done yet? Or it doesn't require it? That process would load the latest code if it does need it.
In the end, it's a benign error. I had my dealership check everything and I stopped paying attention to it. So, you could really do nothing and likely be fine
When mine was throwing that error, it happened once while I was at the track. I had been driving all morning and just hopped in for my next session and there it was. What prompted me to bring it to the dealer was concern that the charging system was not working properly. My battery was new...
