Single disk, so not the same as S55/S58 cars. It probably is equivalent to the 335is/550i clutch that's an OEM+ upgrade for other B58 cars. It's also rated for around 600 ftlbs (holding right at 590 on my 440i).
Edit: Or am I seeing that right? Looks like the 4th pic might be a stack.
Edit2...
I was planning on doing the same. if it has BMW part numbers on any of the components that will be key to determining compatibility. I just need a dealership that will take it back brand new in box. Some said they don't take returns even if it wasn't installed.
On the other hand, cars have been blowing up clutches for a long time without that nanny per the pic posted a few pages back. Complexity doesn't mean unreliable. Autos have been doing it for decades as the whole point is to preserve the drivetrain.
For fun? Sure. But you'll never rev match as...
Nope, but a clutch stop is cheap and easy to install. I have one in mine with all the washers. No gear lockouts, no issues.
I bought from the seller on eBay because I heard he was the original, but since it's cheap a lot of other companies copied the design...
On newer BMWs it's integrated into the slave cylinder. I know Toyota tells us it's all different but I can pretty much guarantee it's the same. The Z4 uses the same slave cylinder part number.
You can either manually remove it or swap with an older E9x slave.
Try removing the clutch delay valve. It's common on BMWs and forces a delay when shifting fast. Sometimes it locks you out of gear, or if you apply to much throttle too soon it can slip.
My opinion.
BMW makes a vehicle for 6-7 years and has major milestone updates after 3-4 years.
Toyota makes the same car for 15 years and does small incremental updates almost every year.
Because of this, Toyota has deliberately gimped the Supra at launch to provide multiple opportunities to...
Natural burbles/overun, especially with a turbo and fuel upgrade to support it - OK
Aftermarket tunes to make gunshots and 5s long tin cans dragging behind your car -Not ok
My friend runs 4 of the OEM rear 2.0 wheels as a square setup on his 3.0. Works great and the 18s are lighter than the 19s.
The main concern with the front wheels is offset. Too high and it'll rub the struts, so you're not only worried about rubbing the fenders.
thanks for the tag. The only thing I will mention is that the a90 doesn't have a bleeder hose coming off the top of the manifold, so it can be a bit harder to bleed that without a vacuum filler tool for some folks.
There will always be something faster
Three will always be something that can make you faster
But I can guarantee you my car is 10x more fun at 600whp than it was in the 300's lol. And that's what this is about.
Also would be cool to see someone like Grannas Racing really build it up for stick...
I ordered my 440i new and spec'd in manual. I did my part ? But glad to see this is finally being offered. Hopefully people continue buying them after the initial hype wears off.
In my logs temps drop 7-10* in 5 seconds. And that's after a 100mph pull. I don't know what tracks you run but the ones around here have multiple sweepers that last for a bit, and at most they have 2 straights that allow that kind of speed. But it's up to you.
Ultimately a bigger intercooler...
I think this is the only issue I have with CSF's advertising. They claim it turns improves IATs from a curve upwards into a flat line, but really it doesn't. It has a small reduction in temps, but the big issue is recovery where the stock system will heat soak.
The DME does an amazing job of...
