  1. AFRs .....(jb4)

just to add some context, the fact of the matter is that jb4 can't adjust afrs. it's not ideal, but seems to work fine. any flash tune will target lower afrs as boost increases.
  2. New Remnant Turbo Kit. Worked Fine for a Week, Now Acting as if I Have a Massive Boost Leak

yep, exactly. easy to install/tighten the bolt. not so good if the wastegate arm is banging against it during driving. just rotate it down and out of the way and you should be good.
  3. New DAWS Exhaust manifold

thanks for the share. hope to post some data tune. i will be doing a flex fuel tune so i'll have pump gas and ethanol numbers in a few weeks.
  4. New Remnant Turbo Kit. Worked Fine for a Week, Now Acting as if I Have a Massive Boost Leak

something to check: a lot of people clock the downpipe clamp wrong, so the wastegate arm hits it and it messes with boost control and calibration. make sure the bolt on the clamp is not in the way of the linkage. it should be underneath the downpipe if at all possible, so basically sitting...
  5. Clutch Slipping on stock A91 MT...

Sure, manufacturers know that driving feel is important to selling cars to enthusiasts. But enthusiasts make up a small portion of their market share. Especially for a $60k+ car. I had a car in the past that I took the bait from forum recommendations and did all solid bushings etc. in the shift...
  6. Spool and Dorch HPFP upgrades

I'm not sure what you're asking, but yes stock Gen 1 injectors at 200bar flow more than stock Gen 2 injectors at 350bar. Spool injectors are rated to run at higher pressures so that's what they rate it at, to show the peak flow. Gen 1 runs around 100 bar at idle and low load, so yes it's...
  7. Clutch Upgrade

my guess is cdv + torque + sensitive throttle caused the issue. the cdv forces the clutch to engage more slowly regardless of how you drive. deleting it may help.
  8. Upgraded hybrid turbo/stock fuel system tuning question.

An ethanol mix will make the most power, but risk of hpfp crashing is all about the tune. You can run any amount of ethanol you want, even full e85, with a tune that properly pairs fueling and boost levels. You just need to ramp in boost as more fuel is available. That's how people are able to...
  9. Blackvue Dashcam with Parking mode and no external battery?

it throws a code and can even cause the alarm to go off lol. Ask anyone that leaves their wifi adapter plugged into the obd port. i definitely recommend an external battery pack. the blackvue B-130X does have a switch, so if you put it in your glove box you can switch it on and off when you...
  10. Clutch Slipping on stock A91 MT...

yeah, that's the kind of failure that can leave you stranded out of nowhere. glad you were proactive
  11. Clutch Slipping on stock A91 MT...

i guess the question is - was this failure a rare occurrence or could there be an underlying weakness. if they let you keep the bad part i'd be curious to see pics, but they may keep or return it since it's a warranty claim.
  12. Clutch Slipping on stock A91 MT...

this thread doesn't give me the most confidence, but we don't have a "Clutch Has been Perfect" thread to get the opposite feedback. Most people just daily drive their cars.
  13. 15% tint too dark at night?

It's funny because I've always said it's not that bad, but a few weeks ago I was like why can't I see anything. And then I realized the one streetlight at the end of my driveway had burned out. My reverse camera worked great but the mirrors are useless if there's no lighting around. Also have to...
  14. IAT too high, need help :(

Just a thought - if anybody parks their car, you'll see the same thing. the coolant cooks when the car is parked with no airflow, so IATs will be high. Once you start driving, temps should go down. If you are getting limp mode/drivetrain malfunction, post a scan of your code reader. It will...
  15. 6MT 1/4 mile times

sorry, i was responding to the question about tires that can hook in a 1st gear launch.
  16. 6MT 1/4 mile times

Those are road course tires. You want a radial for drag racing.
  17. 6MT 1/4 mile times

I think that would be about the limit based on what I've seen. Historically that has been the limit for BMW clutches including F80, F10 550i, etc. and they've been putting the same clutches in their cars since like 2009. But we need more people to push the manuals to see what it can handle.
  18. 6MT 1/4 mile times

with torque cut my 440i handles it great. i never tried power shifting though. imagine supra would be similar. in my experience it's always the excessive slipping that kills organic material.
  19. 6MT 1/4 mile times

One thing I've learned is stock clutch can handle a lot but it's how you drive it. If you plan on doing burnouts/launching, an upgraded clutch will probably handle the heat a lot better.
  20. Ppl running full e85???

so again, the stock fuel system can support any amount of ethanol you want. the tune is what makes it safe. if it is optimized for a specific blend, usually e30-e50, then power should drop off towards e85 as boost pressure drops to keep things safe. The only way to know is run a log and confirm...
