Judging by pricing I wouldn’t say Europe is being targeted. It will be interesting to see what the Japanese pricing is but so far the only good pricing is the US market
True but they weigh a lot so this is pretty good really
I doubt that BMW will let Toyota use this. They have, after all just used Toyota.
BTW, this is the sort of power I was expecting from the new supra... and is it not a bit sad on a forum about a Toyota people are hyped about a BMW engine....
I can’t remember where but after Paul walkers death there was a report written about how unsafe the Porsche’s design was. Due to the placement of the fuel tank it should have been manufactured to basically formula 1 standards of tank but they used materials you would find in any old hatchback...
I find it interesting how a lot of this behaviour is perpetrated by moderators. I mean it’s not surprising but interesting how there’s no smoke without fire
I know it’s something simple but the interior on the corvette is something else. I look at it and it screams supra. How chevrolet got there before Toyota I don’t know but if the interior on the MK5 looked like that I actually think that would convert me
I’ll start by saying that’s awful and my condolences. I don’t wish death on anyone let alone a fellow enthusiast.
However from my point of view, they’re safe in every encounter I’ve ever had. Crashed into the back of a friend once in my SZ years ago and we were fine. I’d argue it’s perfectly...
Exactly this. When I saw the TRD silhouette I was like “holy shit they’re going to nail it and do another 3000gt” but it’s like they haven’t even bothered and I don’t understand why...
Honestly the last thing left is the GRMN and after what’s happened so far it wouldn’t surprise me if the GRMN...
My dealer told me they got off the phone with Toyota and told me tests drives in May with cars arriving in June/July
On the livestream they mentioned potentially a track day before the May road test drive.
This is all U.K. mind you
....Really now?
I know of several high profile crashes, including nick hogans where no one died (I know about the passenger that was because of no seatbelt)
I don’t know if ANY crashes in the U.K. where someone died in a supra.
“Everyone dies” was well off the mark
Well realoem already showed all of that so we know all the parts already.
I know technically that’s not “revealed” on the parts front but we know what they are already.
The HUD. Is explained here:
http://www.pacificbmw.com/blog/what-is-the-head-up-display-in-the-2019-bmw-3-series/
It’s the...
Well in the U.K. you can put money down for one and I know all the specification of the car. I’ve had a livestream showcasing every aspect of the car (minus the heads up display). As far as I’m concerned that’s released. Money down on a product but there’s a wait time.
Some fair points.
First I don’t think anyone’s “plaguing” the forum, the point of an open forum is different opinions and ideas.
Second, there’s a big difference in 7:40 and 7:49.
And lastly the supra has been released. It was released at Detroit.
Exactly this. Surely if it can do the claimed time then the perfect time to announce that was at the actual reveal?
I don’t think it can do it in production trim. Personally, I think we’re looking more at BMW M2 territory. Otherwise why wouldn’t Toyota just come out and say it?
Agree with the comments on here, that’s ugly. I kind of feel like they were having a nervous twitch and wanted to make it a SUV but someone had to keep reminding them it’s supposed to be a sedan/saloon...
Pros:
Rigid chassis
Decent weight distribution
Good looking exterior
Decent tyres
Cons:
Expensive (wrong market segment in non US countries)
BMW reliabilty concerns
No manual
lack of performance vs cost
Awful interior (was expecting something along the lines of the new corvette)
