  1. WTB 45th Anniversary edition.

So the original owner is unknown. That throws up a red flag to me, as that person may have treated the car as a rental and beat the heck out of it. It's a gamble of a buy.
  2. WTB 45th Anniversary edition.

Same here. I was shopping for a 3.0 Supra and came across my 45th at a nearby dealership in November, 2023. Since it had an auto transmission, I paid decent markup vs that on a manual version. The Mikan Blast color really stands out; quite a few people have asked me about it at C&Cs. Lately...
  3. Driver rear rotor warped right out of the lot, Toyota refusing fixing it under warranty

I agree. Uneven pad deposition is not uncommon. I had the same thing happen to my C5 Corvette after 5000 miles or so. The dealership resurfaced the rotors at no charge, but told me that the next time it happens, they'd have to charge me. Later, I bought slotted rotors and never had it happen...
  4. The new 2025 MT went in for a full PPF and window tint this weekend

I was quoted about $5200. My 2/3 PPF was about $3500.
  5. My first "real" car, I bought it yesterday!

I'd be interested to know if you can remove the brake dust from your driveway surface. Here's what a section of my driveway looks like.
  6. Simply racing is a terrible shop

I agree. A local shop to me in San Diego (Miramar BMW) installed my Dinan springs and exhaust. Noe, the owner is very meticulous with my car. I could not be happier with his work.
  7. My first "real" car, I bought it yesterday!

How's your driveway when you wash your wheels? I have a hard time getting the black brake dust off the concrete, even with its clear coating. I also wonder if ceramic pads shorten the life of the rotors. With less than 7000 miles on my car, the OEM pads may stick around for a while.
  8. The new 2025 MT went in for a full PPF and window tint this weekend

What brand of PPF are they using? The place that did my car used STEK. I didn't have them cover the roof or rear, since I've never owned any vehicle that ended up with any chipped-off paint in those areas. The roof may be a bit more vulnerable, however. I look forward to seeing your results
  9. Dinan Valved Exhausts for the Toyota GR Supra

The stock exhaust fits that description, but dang it has the largest muffler I've ever seen on a sportscar. 😏
  10. Dinan Valved Exhausts for the Toyota GR Supra

Some pipe measurements, stock (pinched area, then round) then Dinan
  11. Dinan Valved Exhausts for the Toyota GR Supra

I believe it. The cat is fairly restrictive, although some owners can't put their windows down when stopped, due to the fumes. I rented a catless 2015 C7 Corvette once. My eyes were watering at stoplights. Hopefully your car isn't as bad.
  12. Dinan Valved Exhausts for the Toyota GR Supra

I agree with most of what you said. In sport mode there is essentially no muffler, but at higher rpm the actual sound level is close to stock. And I guess that since the Dinan muffler is freer-flowing, the sound level is higher in Normal mode. Startup is louder than stock. Attached is a sound...
  13. Show me your Android Auto setups!

Upon further investigation, it was the Camry and RAV4 that received wired Android Auto in the early 2020s. They then received wireless in 2023. Some or most models of BMWs came with wireless as early as 2019.
  14. Show me your Android Auto setups!

This may be an option: BimmerTech MMI Prime Retrofit Kit Adds wired and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Installed behind the infotainment panel. Includes a USB port (usually in the glovebox) and a wireless antenna. Cost: Around $800 USD. Installation centers available globally via...
  15. Any running AMS catted downpipe

I picked up the Dinan for $1400 with choice of black or polished stainless steel tips. I selected the latter to break up the blackness and mimic the factory tips.
  16. Better Solution for an Intake Duct

I think this is a great project. Many years ago, I machined a cold air duct for my C5. It kept IAT well below the temperature at which the ECU would retard timing and drop power. But I do use the adaptive cruise, occasionally, so I'm not sure if I'd be okay with losing it.
  17. Better Solution for an Intake Duct

Especially for a Mikan Blast 45th
  18. Road and Track Supra Article

I wonder how easy it will be to tune a hybrid Supra? I'd guess that only the smaller engine could be tuned, resulting in a lower ceiling of power.
  19. Any running AMS catted downpipe

As you probably already know, you can get higher decibel sound with better tone by getting an aftermarket cat-back. I went with Dinan because it produces a lower tone that is not obnoxious in either normal or sport mode. The normal mode forces the exhaust through a resonator/muffler, whereas...
  20. Any running AMS catted downpipe

I've seem them mentioned, but never ran into one over the last 30 years.
