...anf first thing I noticed is the “TANTAMOUNTLY HUGE” picture of the client adviser; not the Z4 itself. Not to mention that it only has 3 random pictures of the Z4...and none of it shows the exterior(and other good angles) of the car.
Perhaps should have been called a review summary...of the...
Well, Toyota tried it with several BMW models first, see how the engine’s performance and reliability would fare, before they decided to put it in the Supra. Took a lot of r & d on Toyota’s part.
That sounds like a great deal. Though with all wheel drive system, you get to spend more on maintenance. I’m sticking with a simpler yet more playful front engined rear wheel drive layout. They’re in different category, though they have similar options. Still going for a Supra. :headbang:
I wonder why Toyota has to use BMW’s 4-cylinder turbo engines if they themselves make powerful yet reliable 4-pot turbo engines. They partnered with BMW to utilize their inline-6 engine; that’s acceptable. But using the Bavarian’s 4-cylinder engines, that sounds like a no-no to me.
Same story with the 86. First year of production, there’s too much hype and demand. Cars were selling like hotcakes. You have to patiently wait, fall in line, to be able to get yours. The following years, it’ll be much easier to order one. Usually, these kinds of cars are on a per-order-basis...
Looks like a Ferrari red
I just don’t like the side mirror caps. Looks very cheap
Probably Toyota will save the better looking side mirrors for future facelift/s, as always :dunno:
Sold out in its home market in Japan in just 11 days, particularly the 3.0-liter inline-6 engine, is amazing! Choosing the 6-cylinder engine is a no brainer. What more if they add a manual? Could be sold out in less than a week. If a manual is coming(with an inline-6).....better count me in.
If it will be reliable, why not...
That’s very good news! Age is just a number. I salute your dad for being a passionate enthhusiast of the Supra. Besides, this car is for any driver , regardless of age, who loves to drive.
Even when journalists or auto reviewers talk about what’s coming for the Supra like a more powerful version, targa top, spy shots, renders, etc., they always keep on mentioning about the unavoidable.....manual transmission. There’s really something missing with the Supra. We just don’t know if...
It’s still an automatic, though, with the manual mode, you can shift to any gear you prefer(like a manual without a clutch); unlike the tiptronic/paddle shifters that are available today, you can only change gears one step at a time(+/-). But still not enough freedom as compared to a proper manual .
