Mine did as well, with no instructions. However, it seems that most people here used the glue as a (I guess) belt & suspenders attachment if the tape should fail. I just put on a small dab in the middle, and if I ever need/want to remove these things (I can't imagine why I would) it shouldn't...
I can't speak for everyone here, but any comments about the 51st state are purely in jest, for humor. We Americans have no desire to do this, and I'm sure that very few Canadians want it either.
D.C. is just a weird idea, IMHO, but it should not be a state. They should just make it part of...
Maybe I shouldn't have written "liberally" but a light application seems to be just fine. I have been doing this for years on many tracked cars, and haven't lost a wheel yet.
Still, I get your point. I just know I've done brake jobs where I've had to whack and kick and do all kinds of...
Over on the ol' BMW forums, when people experience weird issues like this, it is quite often the battery. Even a battery that shows proper voltage or is on a tender, when they age out and don't always supply consistent and adequate voltage, it can cause all kinds of strange electronic behavior...
Bedding in the pads, and more importantly, driving (braking) properly will prevent this from happening again. The Supra has high performance brake pads (unlike the PO's previous cars) and so you need to be more aggressive when you use the brakes. That means, instead of (for example) when...
This is why I always liberally coat the hub with anti-seize before putting the rotor back on.
I'm also in the BFH camp here if you are replacing the rotor anyway.
Back in the day when I did (paid) for stuff like this, I'd get a quote, not an hourly rate. But everyone likes to work differently. if the guy has a good rep and you feel comfortable with it, then I'd fall back on the old 'you get what you pay for' rationalization.
I too am curious to see...
I've sold cars, high value watches and also bought them remotely, so I've been through these things before. My rules are to be careful and diligent, but it's perfectly normal to buy and sell things from a great distance and have them shipped. Commonly found used cars, those are rarely shipped...
I don't have an auto Supra, but I know on recent BMWs if you press the start/stop button three times (no foot on brake) that puts the car into diagnostic mode, and that should allow you to put the car into neutral.
I haven't tested it yet, but in the past on my manual transmission BMWs, the warning would appear but there was no brake intervention. I presume because of a risk of stalling the engine.
LOL, IBTL. I thought Canadians were chill? I mean seriously, if you folks are going to be this stubborn, maybe we don't want you to be the 51st state. Or 52nd, after Greenland. ;) But I digress.
I think it's a lot more likely that someone made a mistake on a web page than it is for...
LOL, inline V6?
There are like 4 colors and only 1 or 2 options, how could you not find it?
Sad but true with the G8x series, especially if you (like me) buy one with a sunroof instead of the carbon fiber. Seems that most buyers want that extra horsepower that you get with the slushbox.
If...
