Same car. Has ABS, has 4 link on all models, has hollow sway bars. Even the 2.0 is the same as far as those items.

You are incorrect. The 2025 tab on the website is incorrect.

Again, why ask questions if you are just going to argue with more knowledgeable people than you?
More knowledgeable LOL!!

Ok there! Tells someone to swap seat covers, but he's never done that in his life...

At this point, I'm not sure what to say. I showed you the service manual about the covers. I have told you I have taken off the covers before. I told you the website is incorrect on the details. 2024 vs 2025 is the same as far as the bits we are discussing.

Again. I have worked on these cars. I have taken the covers off. You don't even own a Supra yet.

I'm done answering questions from somebody that doesn't listen to the actual factual answers.

I agree, someone could have made a mistake.

It could work the same way it does on a motorcycle, a ZX-10R has traction control but no ABS.
It cuts the power to limit the wheel spin. Just saying.

If someone made a mistake on the website, then so be it.
Again, ABS has been mandated for over a decade on passenger vehicle vehicles. Motorcycles have different regulations.
More knowledgeable LOL!!

You realize you’re talking down to people who have 4 to 5 years of experience with these cars and are trying to clear up the misinformation you’re posting in this thread, right?

And I told you "Thanks!" which again, you clearly missed, but you obviously have an ego issue and a point to prove. Since you keep going at it.

I've changed seat covers before (on Recaro seats) and they're a bitch to do.
You're better off buying new seats.

Yes, you can change the seat cover, as you've shown us, but is it worth it? No.

And someone at Toyota made mistakes on both sites, how the hell am I supposed to know if that's a mistake or not. That's why I'm asking.

I'm not talking down on you, you're wondering how TC would work without ABS. I simply told you, motorcycles have TC and no ABS and vice versa.

And again, if they made a mistake on their site. Cool!
To clarify, the misinformation comes from Toyota Canada, as shown in the screenshots.

All that's left is the stereo question, and not for anything, I'm already decided on what model to get.

By listening to the people (Ironically, the people you asked) that are more knowledgeable about the cars they own and work on, in contrast to a car you do not own yet.

Are you actually reading back to yourself the replies you are writing?

Newb that doesn't own a Supra:

"Guys, I have this list of things that I think are different between AT and MT versions of this car I want to buy, can you check my list and let me know if it is accurate?"

People that have owned, worked on, modified, raced, and reprogrammed MK5 Supras for years:

"Some of these are accurate but these items are not, they are the same between the two."

Newb:

"You don't know anything! Nahhh Nahh Nahh, I can't hear you!"

You will need to budget for the Manual transmission engine oil changes.

This is the only engine oil I use because I manually shift with the paddle shifters so much. I don’t want my Synchros meshed up from all my manual shifting during race wars!

LOL, IBTL. I thought Canadians were chill? I mean seriously, if you folks are going to be this stubborn, maybe we don't want you to be the 51st state. Or 52nd, after Greenland. ;) But I digress.

I think it's a lot more likely that someone made a mistake on a web page than it is for Toyota/BMW to manufacture a car like the Supra without ABS. Aside from government regulations and all that, just the engineering effort to remove/bypass the feature far outweighs any cost savings.

However, you did make the right choice with the MT, so you get points for that. And if I had the choice, I would get cloth or Alcantara over leather too, just sayin'.

Enjoy your new car. I hope you find another enthusiast forum to get helpful information that fits your needs.

Thanks! I ordered it yesterday, can't wait to get it! :)

I find most Canadian versions of the OEM website are either wrong or poorly put together. (Looking at you Subaru Canada...)

OP did you at least test-drive a used Supra? IMO there's a lot of deals to be had in Canada right now. If you can get a Premium for the price close to a Base, you could even find a pair of used Alcantara seats and just swap them in. Learning to be handy owning a pseudo-BMW would save you a lot of money down the journey of ownership.

(Let's cut out the crap about the 51st state, I don't know where you took your US history but we are not bringing back imperialism, especially against your 100-year-old ally. The 51st state should be DC. Why is there Taxation without Representation? )

I can't speak for everyone here, but any comments about the 51st state are purely in jest, for humor. We Americans have no desire to do this, and I'm sure that very few Canadians want it either.

D.C. is just a weird idea, IMHO, but it should not be a state. They should just make it part of Virginia.

Now Puerto Rico, that should be a state. But I fear we may be a bit OT. LOL

I already ordered the 2025 base model MT, if I'm spending this much, I may as well get it the way I want from the factory.
