Thanks again to all those who replied.
I did buy the car, and with just a bit of thinking and planning, I'm able to get in and out OK. I just have to remember that I'm not driving the Cadillac.
Yes, you press that button to lower the window. Then you can shut the door, and press the button in the other direction (I guess that would be a "pull") to return the window up.
If you don't want to be in the car, then if you lower it all the way and then raise it with the button - and the...
No. But I went for a ride in a coworker's dad's Plaid, and in that you (I'm not kidding here) have to use the touchscreen to change from a forward direction to reverse, or vice versa.
FWIW that car is stupid fast.
They won't notice it, and even if they did, the tech won't care.
The only way it could be a warranty issue is if you try to get them to fix the car because the start/stop doesn't work any more.
The thread refers to the S550, not the S650 or the 350GT or 500GT specifically... I was referring to a base GT, which started in the low 30s back when I bought one. I suspect you can easily get one, even "track ready" on the used market for under 30K.
I had a S550 GT (a coupe and a convertible) a couple of cars before the Supra. I echo most of the comments here, but with the caveat that the Mustang is nearly half the price of the Toyota, so it's not exactly apples and oranges. Bang for the buck, the Mustang is pretty good if you can get...
I'm not "spun up", I was originally concerned that I had done something wrong/missed a step in coding, which I've not had issues with before.
The car has a very nice reminder: If I fail to select the option, at the first red light I come to the engine stops to remind me. ;)
I've been coding BMWs since the days that all we had was esys and a lot of patience. Now with Bimmercode it's a lot easier and faster.
But I'm having an issue with the start/stop "memory" on my 2025 Supra. I selected the option to "remember' the last setting, and it's not working. I went...
I'm old, so I don't know what "cope" means in this context.
Similar threads exist in certain Swiss watch forums. The "S" in MSRP means "suggested". Dealers can charge whatever they want, up or down. It's up to us as consumers to decide what it's worth to us, me, you, personally.
Some folks...
I emailed probably 15 dealers earlier this month who had a supra in stock or incoming. Of that, perhaps 12 responded.
Of that, a couple were priced over msrp. Two would not sell to me out of state. A few didn't even bother to respond to my offer. The remainder were at msrp, only two would...
If you are afraid of your battery going dead in the middle of coding, then you can do it with the engine running. However, depending on the module that you are coding, the ECU restart may stop the engine from running, and as I recall it makes a horrible noise when it happens and you think you...
This may be a foolish question, but if you modify your exhaust to make it loud, isn't it still possible for the police to notice the volume, pull you over and still cite you and/or impound the car even if the modifications aren't visible?
FWIW, I'm in the USA and I'm really amazed at how quiet...
I haven't used my horn yet. I saw the other thread on installing the BMW part (thanks for that), which I may do one day because the horn is my second favorite way of communicating with other drivers. My favorite is sign language.:wave:
Back in my motorcycling days, some of my...
Well, I will expect you to keep me reeled-in if I get carried away.
Looking back, I realized that I have always wanted a Supra since Gen II, but they were too expensive. Now that I can afford it, I can scratch that itch and of course, it's not really a Toyota underneath after all, so I did...
I picked up my new 2025 Supra on Saturday. There is (was) a sticker on the radio or dash (I forgot where) that said something like "This car reports telematic data to BMW, your data provider. To find out more information about this or to disable the feature, go to SupraConnect.com or call us...
That makes more sense, it doesn't actually stall because it's not running.
What's happening, if I understand this correctly, is that the restart feature is not working. Since it puts the car in neutral, it is recognizing the brake pedal action (note spelling), it just won't start the engine...
