I'm curious. What about this car compared to the MKIV is underwhelming? Also, what do you consider competitive performance in comparison to price. Toyota said they pinned the car against the Cayman/S/GTS (Possibly GT4 with the GRMN), do you think they choose the wrong target market?
@Australian of The North - Seriously guy? The irony spewing from your comments and how you like to flip half truths to fit your narrative is a joke. Using words from keyboard car mechanics and MKIV FnF fanboys is a new low you've stooped, congratulations .

This is exactly what I want the GRMN car to be. The Cayman GT4 is an amazing car, and I think one of many things Toyota has to get right on the GRMN that the GT4 does so well, is the driving experience. The sound, the weight, the handling, the MANUAL. Porsche knows to make a fun car, but at a...

The R35 had a lot of fanboys crying, luckily social media wasn't that big back then. IIRC, I was in college at the time, people were foaming mad at the tail light change on the C7.
The NSX caught a lot of internet hate and that stigma is still running.
I think people hated the front bumper...
Wow.... seriously unbelievable. I swear almost every other thread is a therapy session dealing with either chronic MKIV nostalgia or "Too high of expectations for the MKV" = facing reality. How can someone already find flaws of a product before even using it? The age of keyboard mechanics is...
Yeah that sucks man, but hopefully you were able to enjoy the other cars at show. Also, enjoy Detroit while you're out there. If I remember correctly, I think the car will be at Geneva right? I'm not sure how far that is from your home town.
Ok, just got back from seeing the car and first impressions are good. I couldn't sit in it despite how much I tried to bribe security ($5), but from what I could see the interior looked pretty tight. But again, I wasn't in it.
The car is just about the size of my old BRZ, but flatter and wider...
