AKA, one of the few (if only) aftermarket exhaust system that put a damned resonator in, it's not freaking rocket science! Where are the titanium offerings with a resonator? Hell, I'd be all over an SP1R or RKTi sig if it had a resonator.
With OEM DP, I think the Fi is probably the most balanced and reasonable cost exhaust system, especially used. Otherwise, since you have an OEM DP, you could even go the single exit route if you really wanted something distinct.
AWE Track still comes with a resonator so that's something to...
I mean, it's literally textbook Bosozoku, it even has the derp exhaust pipes. Plus the vanity plate is a massive giveaway. This thing is guaranteed to be on air.
In my opinion, if you want to go with a valved system, the Fi and the HKS was mighty impressive. The Fi sounded exactly like OEM, just a smidge louder across the board. The HKS had more of an aftermarket sound to it, but it was still very OEM grade, almost as if the car should have come like...
Just did a meetup comparing the following exhausts :
AA DP + valvetronic
AA DP + AWE non resonated
OEM DP + Fi
OEM DP + HKS
The OEM + Fi had the most OEM sound, with just more volume, while the HKS had the most OEM+, more character in the note but nothing extreme. Both pass the California...
Asobi, as in "let's play".
It's nice seeing a customized vanity plate that doesn't mention the BMW, Zupra, or lack of a 2JZ lol. I run with 'YABE 90' myself.
If you are ever wary about tint laws, just go with a 70%. That's 70% of light allowed through and virtually imperceptible to the naked eye unless under overcast conditions. Windshield included. In overcast conditions, tint tends to mess with the reflections and "betray" the presence of tint...
.... Resonated please.
There are enough non resonated exhausts on the market, let alone a titanium offering. Hell, just make an AWE touring resonated clone in titanium.
You've pretty much described tread squirm that's a characteristic of all seasons. I installed them recently myself as well for a three season tire so I could have a truly dedicated summer setup.
The DWS06+ is equal to the PSS in terms of performance, but the tread squirm is definitely something...
Would you say the SH wing makes it easier to access the hatch? Is the bottom portion where it's screwed into the hatch a strong enough to use as a spot to lift from? It's getting really old having to wedge my fingers under one of the taillights to get the hatch up.
I attached a magnetic metal plate, like the ones you get from a phone mount, on the windshield to the right of the mirror, and then attached one of those hobby-craft magnets to the back of the newer slim fastraks. No issues at all with reading, and it being attached via magnet makes it super...
With this set, I'll officially have three sets of OEM wheels. I might just sell the zrk powdercoated set w/ sensors for mega cheap for those looking to get off the two-tone and happened to miss out on this deal.
Original two-tones with factory PSS tires.
zrk's powdercoated set on new DWS06+...
Real burbles are vastly superior to the artificial crap the car does. I just want a nice clean exhaust note with claps on upshift instead of that fart crap.
Will a tuner be able to completely remove any trace of the artificial burbles, pops and cracks from both normal and sport mode?
I can't stand the baked-in burbles on sport mode when coming to a stop, it sounds like water flowing down a drain.
