Do you mind taking some photos from the sides of the wheel? Interested in the clearance between the stalks, as well as the clearance from the wheel to the paddle. Current paddles I have are slightly curved outwards and it impacts the 'nub' on the wiper stalk.
With a torque limit in the low 500s, could I avoid having to build out the transmission? I'd probably stick with running pump 90% of the time, and actually prefer a car that revs out rather than a wall of torque down low.
For a street car that won't see a drag strip but wanting more power, could you get away on stock trans with a pure800 on pump/e30 blend? Knowing the TQ limits and avoiding digs and hard launches...
Might be interested in the exhaust if you're open to an RKTi track exhaust + cash on top. I travel to LA pretty often so it isn't outside the scope of me stopping by SD.
Exhaust has 5 days and <300 miles, got lucky with a cop and avoided a state ref.
Very very situational. If you have something like an exhaust that can set off car alarms when parked in an employee parking lot underground on startup, that's different.
I still haven't gotten shit for my tints, for example.
I am running an AA DP, so there is something.
The 16 year old in me won the argument. I was expecting more of a "track" exhaust. For a weekend car or canyon toy, it's fine and totally livable for short stints, but for a car that's daily driven and sees freeway work, it's a deal breaker.
Bruh.
I can't even drive with the windows down because it makes my ears ring. Plus the resonance is pretty bad from 2000-2600, like a Harley straight piped.
I originally ran with the AA DP and OEM exhaust but wanted a little more volume and a lighter setup. The RK Ti is beyond light and has...
After buying an RK Ti track edition exhaust going off YT clips and videos, I want to do my due diligence before I buy an exhaust system.
Anybody with an AWE Touring Resonated and AA DP / catless in the Norcal area? Am local to either SF Peninsula or the Sacramento / Yuba region. Looking to...
The RK Ti I have is the track edition. When they say track edition, they mean TRACK edition, compared to track. This thing is literally a straight pipe from the cat back, the complete lack of resonator means you get an incredible resonance that vibrates the entire car in the 2K-2.2K rpm range...
FWIW, I have a RK Titanium system just installed on the car, and within 72 hours I'm looking to hopefully replace with an AWE Touring resonated. I originally thought I wanted a single exit, but the 30yr old in me is actively murdering the 16yr old in me that told me to buy it. The single exit...
Take offs can be found pretty easily if you look around. Hell, I have a spare set of two-tones with the factory PSS tires with <2600mi if you are just looking for tires, since I'm planning on getting the wheels powder coated and on PSAS4s for a more street friendly tire in <50F temps.
Leather that feels like actual leather instead of feeling liked rubberized vinyl. Possibly a softer more GT inspired seat instead of the pretty firm seats. Little more personality and design in the BMW seats, especially in the headrest area. Plus, there's more color offerings to try and brighten...
Walnut blasting just like the N54/N55 motors. Dunno if a BMW dealership will want to touch the Supra, but it was roughly $600-800 service when done at the dealer. Every.... 60-80K miles IIRC, it's been a hot minute since I've been around the N54/N55 platform.
Hopefully a solution will come out of here for those who just want the hatch to pop up a few inches when unlatched so it isn't so awkward to open. Not too keen on smashing the hatch on a low ceiling, but do appreciate the little assist so I am not jamming fingers.
Would the helper springs on...
You can also heavily 'cheat' by simply getting aftermarket glass for the side mirrors. See my post here about the massive increase in visibility, it's night and day.
