Running catless is playing with fire in California, esp since they've exponentially stepped up enforcement and being state reffed is the new norm. Get pulled over and if a cop smells it, you're going to get reffed. Hell, even an aftermarket intake can/will get you reffed nowadays.
Just get a...
Any idea if a tuner can entirely remove the "gurgle" noises in sport mode when you're really down low in the revs? It sounds like water going down a drain...
When TRD has been milked so much, that it had to be GR's turn... At this rate, TRD is on the way to become the new "Sport" moniker that manufacturers love, and the GR will become the special model.

Surprisingly, those rings actually aren't.... terrible. The fit isn't the greatest but the one on the iDrive controller actually looks fairly decent. Does anybody know if there was a ceramic coated controls option on the Z4 that we could swap knobs and such in?

Dealer just gave me a call, they're currently backordered and will have an idea on how severe of a wait it'll be. Same dealer also said that I'm not the first person to call in inquiring to check the order, and that they're only doing local pickup for the wheels, no shipping.
I originally ran a separate set of PS4S on OEM wheels, but found the front end to be a little plow-y even with a moderately aggressive street alignment, and when running in the canyons the understeer was definitely sticking it's nose out and causing me to have some skittish moments.
I'd also...
Thoughts and input on a hypothetical 18" square setup? Looking at getting a proper summer setup started since the weather is starting to warm up and I can get off my 3-seasons A/S set. Otherwise I'd be just going with another set of 255/35/19 & 285/35/19 PS4S on a second set of OEM wheels...
I managed to see somebodies car with the auto lift mod, and it was quite unsettling when you see it in real life. The hatch shoots up and quite literally shakes the entire back end of the car like you violently threw the hatch open.
Is there a spring that will help soften the violence, because...
Every car I've ever bought and owned, has had all of the badges and script removed. Only the manufacturer logo is allowed to stay. The Supra script especially was a massive pain in the ass when trying to wash the car, and they were off the car before the end of the first month of ownership...
If it's like any of the other hillstart systems I've driven, the system comes on when you step firmly on the brakes, and should hold the car for a brief pause giving you time to shuffle over to the clutch & accel to start getting moving, or after a few seconds (of clutch in IIRC), the car should...
You're pretty much describing the hill start assist system. It's helping 'hold' the car in place for you to get the car moving, to help prevent the pedal shuffling. Especially with the lack of a traditional cable e-brake, it's definitely a QOL feature.
It's also a pretty recent thing in MT cars...
Some owners want a clean looking car, others care about going as fast as possible, some want cool noises. Some owners will keep their car strictly for the street and freeways, never seeing a canyon or a circuit, while others build their car to go around a circuit.
Everybody has priorities.
