No ASD, turned that off within 24hr of buying the vehicle. I get pretty severe drone with the flaps open when cruising in 8th. Vast majority of it goes away when you close the flaps, but it's still somewhat there if you don't have music playing. Active Autowerks DP with factory exhaust.
Any notable issues with drone?
I've been chatting with Rob and he's been kind enough to allow me to keep my place in line while I decide to pick up a single exit track, change it to a signature, or to transfer the price as a deposit for a valved system.
Really concerned about drone being an...
Don't really feel like dealing with the smell of going catless, but I hear that going on corn helps with the odor. Plus from all the clips I've checked out, it seems that going catless actually drops the lower end of the exhaust note, too tinny for my taste.
Maybe something I'll consider down...
Just placed an order for a track edition as well and been curious on what DP's people have been pairing theirs with.
Going to match mine with an AA catted DP, but I can't find any clips at all, since most people are going either track with catless or signature with OEM.
Definitely a very good price and something I might have grabbed if I didn't buy zrk's wheels.
You're looking for 56mm center caps. Rather "unique" cap size and it's a pretty big pain in the ass to find. I grabbed a set off Amazon, and now they're no longer listed, but you can always go with...
Is it?
I would assume that a lot of tech/engineering type would rather gravitate toward cars like the Supra, GTR and Porsches rather than American muscle and pony cars.
White collar vs Blue collar.
On street roads with PS4s and I'm typically shuffling sideways above 1800 on traction 1 and not really getting any forward progress whatsoever. Really noticed that these do their best with a 1 ft rollout or 5-60 rather than coming out of a dig.
Casino.
Customer facing with high stakes gamblers, there's a certain kind of 'image' that needs to be projected. Other than the expected ribbing from getting a new car, the reception so far has actually been much better than anticipated compared to a coworker who got a CPO Mercedes S450.
AA catted is very much the perfect complement to the OEM catback exhaust, just adds a nice boost to the volume while keeping the civil when driven in comfort/normal mode. I have noticed just the slightest hint of drone at 80mph in normal, but it's incredibly minute and only really noticeable...
You'll be fine for the most part if you remain on OEM ride height, the trickiest part is the long nose and front overhang. Lots of attacking at an angle to navigate tricky spots to prevent a scrape. Ride comfort is a different story though, especially depending on where in the Bay you are, 19th...
Just throwing this out here since I'm impatient and everything is OOS. Looking to buy a Tomei single exit if any are available out there, I know that paired with a catless it's a little excessive so looking for anybody who might be having a change of heart.
Am local to the Bay, but I can travel...
Got the car rinsed off and actually washed after yesterday's shenanigans in the mountains. There's more damage than I thought, 6 rock chips in the bumper that went through the paint and is exposing plastic, with a few more chipping paint. Windshield was absolutely peppered and worse than I...
Took it out to the mountains and made some runs up and down highways 35, 9 and 84. Ran into a mild-mannered gentleman at Alice's Restaraunt who invited me out to follow him out for some 'spirited driving' since he was intimately familiar with the roads. Went out with a guy in a lightly modded...
Maybe consider getting those Amazon M-sport z4 mirror caps. They're like $80 and are great value to replace the crappy textured black caps that are factory. The caps + $10 fix and virtually no buffeting up to 100.
