My sales person just reached out to tell me my car will be getting on a boat on 06/24. Couldn’t tell me a vessel name though. This one has a final destination of Lincoln, NE. So not sure what the port of entry will be as I try look at shipping schedules.
This is key. All modern paint scratches easily, but proper washing technique can help to prevent most noticeable marring. Ceramic coating mostly helps due to the hydrophobic properties. Helps remove a lot of dirt from surfaces with just water before you even touch it with a sponge.
The site referenced for the Supra doesn't look to have a report specifically for the Type R. Numbers might be higher than the Supra, but from what I understand this first model year will have very constrained inventory. The bulk of what they're making is going to Japan and their waiting list.
I still think the car looks much better in this blue. However, I really don't like the front of this thing. It'd look much better if the bottom of the bumper was body colored IMO.
Saw the G87 in Zandvoort Blue today. I actually quite liked the color in person, and also thought it suited the M2. This looks better to me than Brooklyn Grey on this car.
So I’m gonna have to eat some crow here. Looked at an Absolute Zero Supra this morning and this afternoon in the sun and found the color to be pretty stunning. The difference with this viewing is that there weren’t other cars parked around it blocking me from walking around the car from all...
Might just be my eyes, but the car just looks too bright to me going down the road (in the sun). It obscures the design to the point where I double take to make sure it's a Supra. I don't love it at a stand still in the sun either. Though at certain angles the metallic in the paint does look...
Saw a Tungsten Supra headed east on C470 yesterday near or in Littleton CO. First time seeing that color driving down the road. Looked great.
If I’m keeping tally so far the only color I haven’t liked on the Supra driving down the road is Absolute Zero. Which of course is the color on the car...
There’s a good chance I’m going to walk away from this particular car (don’t think I want white). So for now I won’t hassle my salesperson. That said, it’s a little annoying that I’ve gotten zero updates in a month.
My left knee sucks and traffic is terrible where I live. So I’m going auto with my Supra. However, I also will be using it as my daily. If it was purely my fun car I’d take a hard look at trying to find a manual. Speaking of, that’s got to be part of the discussion here. The manuals are much...
It’s completely dependent on size, weight, and where you’re shipping to. Mine were only 17” wheels with 215/45 tires. Fedex charged me $375 to ship all 4 insured from Denver to Los Angeles.
Checkout the FedEx shipping estimator online. If you plug in the dimensions and weight and where it’s...
I recently shipped a set of wheels with tires mounted through FedEx. It was cheaper for me to just cover each side of the wheel with a piece of bubble wrap, then cardboard, then tape, then plastic wrap than have the shipper package them for me.
I've shipped wheels across the country twice this...
I don't know about BMWs, but at least on Miatas the cam bolts used when aligning the car are prone to breaking IF the mechanic isn't careful OR if you get frequent alignments. Maybe that's what that dealer was talking about, though it certainly shouldn't add $1,350 to the typical going rate for...
Seems like a lot of people have gotten bumped to the 07/15 vessel departure. Makes me wonder if there's been so little to ship that they've held on to things to fill up the upcoming boat. IDK.
Yeah. That's my hot take as well. Some people who aren't as worried about money because they have a lot of it don't necessarily have the Supra on their radar as much as a Porsche, etc.
