Haha. Well, glad you got lucky on the long trip home then!
  2. Experiences with temporary paint protection for road trip

How did the frog tape end up working out for you?
  3. 2024 YM GR Supra - New Color Orange at Goodwood FOS

Probably just phone cameras doing phone camera things: radically altering colors compared to real life to make a "better" photo. Though from all the videos I've seen it does look like an orange with a little bit of red to it.
  4. What did you do to your Supra today?

Still a pretty new battery for you, but any issues to report? I'm assuming no.
  5. Toyota releases 2024 GR Supra colors & pricing (+2k MSRP)

I like it. I've had multiple head injuries though.
  6. Are these the boots from factory that were supposed to be removed with PDI?

That isn't a spacer. Lift the boot up some more and see if these big, brighter white pieces of plastic are present... (note my picture)
  7. Toyota releases 2024 GR Supra colors & pricing (+2k MSRP)

My take is that the Supra really is a halo car of sorts for them, and halo cars don't need to sell well or be profitable on their own to benefit the brand. Brands rely a lot on mindshare. At least historically you'd get a lot more media exposure and bumps in mindshare with a sports car vs a run...
  8. Next Porsche 718 will be exclusively an EV

This is the first EV I'm more than a little interested in. With any luck they'll produce a base model with a battery pack that isn't focused on range to keep the weight down.
  9. Toyota releases 2024 GR Supra colors & pricing (+2k MSRP)

Nirtro yellow looks great in person on the road, and I’m not even a big fan of yellow cars.
  10. Looking to obtain MY2024 in spring 2024

Yeah, in that case the one color and number of allocations the dealer tends to get will probably be the determining factor for you. I decided to hedge my bets by getting on the waiting list at four different dealers (anyone that says that's unethical can go kick rocks). Three of those requiring...
  11. Looking to obtain MY2024 in spring 2024

An allocation would mean there's actually a car with a VIN being built that will eventually ship to the dealer. If all you've done is put down a deposit with trim and preferences you're just on a waiting list. Assuming you don't have an actual allocation at this stage I think it's hard to say...
  12. Formula 1 Talk

Not that I know anything about anything, but IMO Daniel lost his mojo years ago. Doesn't seem like the newer cars jive with him. So it wouldn't surprise me if he really is way behind in the sims.
  13. U.S. Toyota Dealers without Mark Ups

Just left them a nice review on Google ?
  14. Track your Supra Status

Mine slipped from 06/24 to 07/14 with an estimated vessel arrival of 07/26.
  15. Ridiculous prices for super sports at Toyota dealership. Recommendations for alternative tire? Cup 2?

Totally agree. The Cup 2 would be better for a car that's occasionally tracked. For street only and assuming close to stock power PS4S would be the way I'd go.
  16. Toyota Supra and BMW Z4 Sales Figures

Man. They really have cut production in half. Thankfully I have a car with my name on it about to get on a boat. That said, if something happens with that car I'll probably go back to looking at other options.
  17. Experiences with temporary paint protection for road trip

You've won the thread. No further submissions necessary ?
  18. 2020 GR Supra Poster

I've got one in a tube somewhere, but it came with a tear in it.
  19. How to track your Supra's shipping vessel

My car ended up missing both the 06/20 and 06/24 boats. It now has an estimated departure of 07/14 and arrival of 07/26. No idea what boat that could potentially be as there are no dates I can find that align with that. I'm just gonna stop paying attention until it actually arrives at port and...
  20. Experiences with temporary paint protection for road trip

I've made the trip on two lane roads from Denver through Nebraska (and a bit of Kansas) on the way to Des Moines and vise versa a couple of times. The problem I ran into was oncoming semi truck traffic. They often carried a mini "dust storm" of road debris behind them that pelted the hell out of...
