It’s 16 lbs lighter than a M4, and 37 lbs heavier than a M4 if you spec an automatic ?‍? So yeah, not lighter enough to make any difference. The shorter wheel base and suspension tuning is really the only thing that’ll make it feel smaller.

The MK8 GTI and Golf R are really nice cars despite the awful infotainment. They took any engagement out of the driving experience vs the MK7 though. Test drove both and they're so boring. Great people movers, but that's about it IMO.
