This morning my estimated delivery changed to 09/30-11/02.
A lot of us already know this, but the estimates are useless. I'll continue to post them so future owners can get yet another sample of what to expect with the process, and so I can continue to torture myself with "what if it's...
It wasn’t a manual, but I did take a base 718 Cayman on a long test drive years ago. Honestly, it was pretty boring driving around town. Gearing was a little too long even with the PDK, and the engine was completely gutless down low. Reving it out was fun though, and I’m sure it’d be great on a...
My wife and I have gotten into the habit of going to our local cars and coffee early to avoid this kind of shit. Doesn't matter what kind of car, a lot of people leave the scene driving like absolute morons. All with the stereotypical sidewalk full of teenagers filming on their phones.
I'll...

...now in the last hour the estimated delivery has changed to 09/17-10/20. So with any luck it's getting on a train soon.
Finally got an update yesterday. Car is on a truck to a United Road location in Newark. Estimated delivery date changed to 09/15-11/09. Considering it has to wait to get on a railcar next I'm not holding my breath for delivery anytime soon.
My last Miata (a ND2 RF) did great on cold streets, and even snow with Michelin Crossclimates on the car.
That's what I plan on running on the Supra as well in the winter. I have no intention of ever running the summer rubber in freezing temps.
It's been over a month now since there's been any tracking updates on my car. While I plan on driving it year round here in the Denver metro, I really don't want to pickup it up in Nebraska in the dead of winter. May have some tough decisions in the months ahead.
Keep an eye out for used Supras at local carmax dealers by searching carmax.com. Once one pops up you can schedule a test drive online and it’ll reserve the car for you so it’ll be there when you arrive. No deposit or other BS required. No obligation or pressure to buy. They don’t care.
There are cheaper aftermarket alternatives. Can't say that I've tried any of these, but here are some examples:

With production cut in half for all Supras the AT can take a while to get as well. It’s just the waiting lists being a little smaller for those that helps.
I've run CrossClimates on 3 different cars now. They're significantly better in the snow than non-snow rated all-seasons. I'd say they're worse in the summer though. You definitely get some of that winter tire marshmallow feeling, especially in warm weather.
If I could only have one set of...
These seem like a great year round option.
I plan on getting a used set of OEM 19’s and throwing on Michelin Crossclimates for winter use. Obviously not as good as a full winter, but I don’t plan on intentionally driving in snow.
