you are welcome.
For the record i ended up not liking this and reverting back to stock. You will build up oil in it as a result of the blowby. The oil will eventually drip out. The stock pipe does a better job of containing the oil. While it is still there, the stock pipe has texture and some other internals...
That looks like you are trying to use the clip from the intake and not from the charge pipe. Are you sure you carried over the clip from the oem charge pipe? Or maybe it is backward? Ftp is saying to carry over the oem, they do not ship one. It is loose when it is connected to the car- I...
Its an oem toyota part. Go to one of the online toyota parts websites like olathe or conicelli and search for the intake components and you will find it
i do my own oil changes even when it is free to have toyota do them. I have already performed 2 oil changes. One at 700miles and one a year later.
obviously you will need more than one jug but cost per quart is $5 vs the $10 mobil one x2 or whatever it is they call it.
I am not trying to cheap...
this is not THE breather made for the supra. I posted this more for the concept of what is going on here and also to pose the question- could oil be coming into the intake system not via tha PCV or CCV but through that alternate air connection if one should exist? (which would make sense that...
This guy talks way too much, but maybe this explains how oil is getting into the charge pipe even though people are putting cans on both pcv and ccv lines.
this also explains how the breathers work
As someone suggested in a different thread, i suspect too that the texture inside the oem charge pipe aids in knocking the oil out of the air and accumulate within the pipe. Also there are two connection points instead of four with the aftermarket charge pipes Meaning two places the oil can...
I pulled everything apart again and reseated the charge pipe. This time i heard the audible click and can confirm it does sit as pictured. i installed the mishi catch can when the ftp charge pipe was on so it was a little too far to the right when installing the wider stock charge pipe...
I have some concerns regarding the OEM charge pipe. I reinstalled it and it seems to be solidly connected. But from under the car part of the flange is showing. I do not know if this is normal. No matter how much I pull on it I cannot get it to plug in further.
Can anyone verify if this is ok...
