Yeah, I'm glad I waited on one of these as it appears to not be as "simple" as the "marketing" for this makes it out to be. If you do in fact have to go through all of the same work/effort as a full turbo swap then the only point I see to go with this option (from an "install effort") is to save...
Pics of the ADRO front lip now that the bumper is back on! Once the weather isn’t ass I’ll take some better pics but I absolutely LOVE the look of this lip!
Follow up on clearance for ya! Honestly I think I only lost, at most, 1/2” (1.3 cm) or so of ground clearance. I’m also lowered on Swift springs as well for full context. First pic is the center of the lip and the second is passenger side
ADRO front lip is on! Took the bumper off the car to get better access to the annoyingly placed clips that hold the stock center lip piece in. Snapped a quick photo off the car before I go reinstall it. Fitment is *chefs kiss*
Just a heads up, be prepared to take off the front bumper lol The tabs holding in the stock center section of the front lip are damn near impossible to get to without doing so.
I should be able to give you some answers on this soon. My front lip, side skirts and wing just showed up yesterday. Planning on starting with the lip and side skirts then clench my cheeks together and send it on wing install lol
My guess is clearance shouldn’t be affected too much since it...
I get all that, I was just trying to clarify the install process because I’ve seen them done both ways (on the car vs off the car).
It sounds like everything is accessible to swap once you get the intake and charge pipe out of the way and unmount the EWG off the stock housing? All while...
Wait, so you don’t have to completely remove the entire turbo system out of the car to install these?
If so, am I just losing it and thinking of something else or did people just remove the entire system for better access the stuff once off the car?
I'm lowered on Swift Springs and the 7000TL do NOT fit under the Supra. The 5000TL do though with enough room for jack pad to fit as well. (I own both sets of QJs). If you want to use the 7000TL on a lowered Supra then you'll have to drive up on some wood blocks or race ramps first.
I have a set of the 5000TL for the Supra and at set of the 7000TL for my Hawk and the wife's ExST. Both have been a breeze to work with whether it's oil changes or exhaust swaps or anything else that requires me to get under the vehicle. PS Having a Vyper creeper makes things 10x easier too...
Cut out my kidney, sold it to a guy behind a clapped out KFC in town and used said kidney money to purchase the ADRO kit... Look forward to getting it in about 15 months.. so.. ?
If: “It was cold asf in WI this morning” was a pic lol Had to move the Supra out of the garage for about 30 min today. Pulled it back in and the wheel immediately frosted over.
In my personal experience; on 93 octane a custom JB4 tune made a noticeable change and made the power delivery feel much smoother over OTS maps. There was likely a 10-20 whp gain but tbh I didn't dyno anything so I'm merely spitballing. On E30 is when I noticed the most "gains" with a custom JB4...
Went and picked em up earlier this evening from the tire shop for mounting/balancing. Did an initial cleaning to get most of the gunk off from the install. Going to let them dry over night, complete the Decon phase and then apply the Armour Detail ceramic wheel coating. Likely get them on the...
