Flashing back to stock will always fully remove the unlock and the DME must be unlocked again for flashing MHD.
this is direct from the MHD site.
this is the reason i created this post, there is so much conflicting info out there
for emissions they can detect if the ecu has been modified from its original tune. they check the CVN number. you can pass the sniffer and a visual inspection and still get a fail.
say the car has to go to a dealer or gets an update on accident a bench unlock is much more appealing than...
what about emissions? i bought a Pre 06/2020 DME. if i clone to that DME and it gets an update can't i just bench unlock it vs. the post 06 DME that if it gets updated it has to go back to FEMTO?
I finally acquired a donor DME to get cloned, so now i am ready to send mine to FEMTO to get unlocked. the question is that i have gotten different answers from companies regarding the cloning process.
does the MHD+ programming transfer to the cloned DME?
one says its way more expensive than...
thank you Bryan, the only one to actually show me what they did in their car. then it turned into another useless argument that people in the future will have to wade through when they have the same question i did. can't wait to see what my next thread will turn into.
i agree, on all my other cars i have built i have drilled the chassis and put backing plates. that way you are strapped to the car and not to the seat, in case the seat or seat mounts fail.
I am very aware of the "harness bar" in the car not being structural, i figured that was a a given and...
everyone always talks about how to mount the shoulder straps when it comes to harnesses, but that is the easy part. show me where you mount the lap and sup straps. are people drilling through the chassis and putting backing plates? or some sort of bracket.
show me what you have done
probably a dumb question, but can i clone my post 6/20 ecu to a pre 6/20 ecu then just do a bench unlock, and go with MHD? or do i still have to send to FEMTO for something.
