It definitely was a lot more reliable on earlier builds. Prior to 16.6 I'd say it was fine 90% of the time, and the other 10% I'd either have to just re-open the app on my phone or toggle airplane mode quickly and I'd be off.
Something must have changed with how aggressive the built-in battery...
I've tried that, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for me. It just goes full screen blank and stays blank if I back out.
I've also tried opening the maps app on my phone when it's blank and that gets it to show up, but eventually it stops tracking my movements and basically freezes until I...
Different strokes, everyone will have their own opinion on it. I had AA in my previous BRZ, and in my GF's STI and it's worked flawlessly for us, and I just find it runs a bit smoother/more fluidly for me.
Most of my issues with Apple aren't with the iPhone itself, hardware wise it's fine, the...
Android for me personally, although I caved and got an iPhone when I bought the Supra because it was cheaper and less effort than getting the MMI Prime kit, and I refuse to live without AA or Carplay.
I'd say it's a love-hate relationship. The phone works fine, and it looks/feels nice. I just...
If I'm just running errands quickly, or just mindlessly munching miles on the highway to get somewhere, I'll keep it normal mode.
Outside of that I'm always in sport though. I've been hesitating to Bimmercode the car always starting in Sport since I still use Normal mode some of the time.
I...
I have the MT, I didn't think the slight weight difference would translate in to that much extra compression statically on the struts/springs which is why I was curious originally. If they're actually the exact same spring as the auto's then I'll probably just go with the Euro Z4's since I have...
Has anyone been able to confirm with Eibach if the US Springs now match the Euro Z4 ones? or if they changed the US ones at all?
On their website now if you search by Manual Supra, it shows that the springs are 0.9" Front and 0.8" Rear drop, but for the Auto it's 1.3" Front and 1.0" Rear.
The...
From my time working at a Toyota dealer, Toyota generally puts a pitiful amount of gas in the cars prior to sending them off to the dealers. It's entirely likely with the factory amount of fuel, depending on if you went up/down any steep hills or anything that the pickup ran dry for a brief...
In regards to the sound system, idk if you've done it but, doing the OEM Sub mod from the DIY sub-forum, and using the EQ settings from that same DIY made a world of difference for me. I'm not gonna say it puts it up there with the best but, it really went a long way to fix the muddy distorted...
Could've been that too. It's a non-issue now thankfully. I was just amazed by the amount that was on it and was curious if it was maybe a common thing or had happened to anyone else on the East Coast
Did anybody else's car arrive just absolutely covered in fallout? I'd assume it was from sitting in Port either here, or in Europe but my car was covered top to bottom (tiny little orange dots on the paint, rough to the touch)
I noticed it after my first home wash prior to taking it in for...
I'm at ~2200km, just did my break in oil change a few days ago. Coming from a BRZ as my last daily, it's a huge upgrade and overall I'm really satisfied with it. I really appreciate the split personality of the car between Normal and Sport mode.
Driving my MR2 is like an assault on the senses...
I know it's been a minute but I just did my dashcam install today following this guide and wanted to share my experience/some notes.
Firstly, the guide was pretty straight forward and simple to follow. My total install time was 4 hours, mostly because it was my first time and I spent a lot of...
There's some other life goals I want to cross off before I seriously consider moving on from it, so it will likely be with me for a long time.
But the only things I have my sights on as a replacement for it one day would be a well taken care of 981 Cayman GT4 or 997.1 GT3. If all the stars in...
I bought mine to use as a fair weather/summer daily and it also shares weekend duties with the MR2 (sometimes I wanna go on a weekend drive with A/C, or when it's raining or something XD)
It spends it's time outside although I do keep it clean, and it's getting PPF'd and Ceramic coated...
My experience mirrors this, I couldn't access any of the safety settings either, regardless of whether I went in to the Supra, or Z4 in Bimmercode, it was greyed out for my '23 MT.
Gonna try the auto start-stop settings OP mentioned are working for him to see if I can get it to remember. I...
I'll have to give that a test, cool that Toyota would include a feature that emulates that for starting on super steep inclines.
I'll do some more digging around Bimmercode to see if I can find anything related to Hill Start Assist and post here/in the Bimmercode thread if I find anything and...
I've been looking for a way to disable it as well. While it does technically work and charge my iPhone, it makes the phone get insanely hot, and the rate of charge doesn't quite keep up with the rate of battery drain from Wireless Carplay.
So rather than damage my phones battery, I'd rather...
It's not causing me trouble or anything, I'm just used to driving manuals without it so it just feels a bit weird to me when the car doesn't roll back a bit on an incline. I can learn to live with it/get used to it, but if possible I'd rather just turn it off
