If the Evo9 MR is your daily, you might find the MT Supra a bit kinda, tame?
It's still a fun drive, really fast/handles really well etc, but you might find it lacking some Feedback vs the Evo.
My Supra actually replaced my BRZ as my summer daily, but my weekend car is a '91 MR2 Turbo for...
Been using it since Day 1 on my 23 A90 MT with no issues.
The only thing I would advise against (not sure if this applies in the US, or to all states) is don't try and code out the auto headlights as that threw a warning for me in iDrive.
Is anyone running GTHaus/Musa Catback? (https://gthaus.com/product/toyota-new-supra-a90-2020-3-0-l6-b58-2/)
They seem fairly popular in the BMW world, and seem like a quality item. I've been trying to find sound clips for them but can only really find the videos from GTHaus themselves.
Guess it depends what lens you look at it though. As a customer, yeah it'd be nice if an allocation didn't get taken from under you so the owner had a demo.
But at the same time, I feel like if most people owned the dealership they'd also be driving around in the nicest shit the manufacturer...
Any medium to high volume franchise dealer honestly just probably doesn't care. They profit they lose by keeping one halo car off the road as a demonstrator for the owner is pennies to them and they'll more than make it up by selling their bread & butter cars + the profit from used. Basically...
The situation is very likely a bit greasier than what you might think it is as well.
As someone who used to work at a dealer (I was a detailer at the time), he's likely reserving it to use as his demonstrator vehicle and not actually buying it outright, so it will still be owned by the...
I think the issue is that you're looking for pictures of a setup of which there's probably not many out there.
Firstly, white isn't a standard colour on any standard TE37 that will fit the Supra, so it's already a custom order. Secondly, it's a low volume car, only a portion of which are black...
I can't imagine they wouldn't ship to Canada, but as an alternative to just shipping it to a border service and driving down, you can also use a service like Montana Mailbox/DYK Post which gives you a US address that you can ship it to.
Then DYK post will bring it across the border in to AB...
I've had my car flash a warning at me for getting close to the car infront, but that's about it. (Wasn't tailgating I was just coasting up to a parked car on a side street waiting for oncoming traffic to pass, and got kinda close before I moved back over)
Although one of the first things I did...
5500km, so ~3400 miles I think the math works out to.
I can't reliably re-create it whenever I want. Just very occasionally while doing a WOT pull, I'll find that spot/wall going from 2-3. I feel like it's more prone to happening when the TC kicks in, but that could also just be me looking for...
Totally could be this. I try and take the shifts a bit slower when in the Supra cause I know historically BMW gearboxes don't really appreciate slamming gears. So, could very well just be driving style pouring over from being in my MR2 where I tend to shift pretty quickly cause of the LWFW...
I don't know if it's normal, or maybe just a soft bushing thing, but very occasionally in my MT when I'm doing a pull and go to shift from 2-3, the shifter just hits the gate of 3rd gear and I have to pause for a quick moment and then slot it in.
It's almost like when under load, or the...
Only rituals I really have to to follow the manufacturer recommended maintenance schedule (Or shorten the intervals if the car is being pushed often).
I try to wash it once every 1-2 weeks since it sits outside in the summer
1 or 2 good pulls every time I take it out because I'm a believer in...
Realistically and long term, the only way for me to go is up at this point with the other cars there. I have everything set up to support that but work and life are currently in the way so there will be no lift in this year, I'll have to deal with that in the Spring.
But after measuring...
So unfortunately indoor storage fell through this year as I wasn't able to get my garage project going and get a storage lift in place. So my car will be spending this winter Outside in the Driveway.
I live in Ontario, Canada so it is going to snow, and we tend to have humid winters.
I know I...
