I tried to order a simple JLT CAI for my brother's GT500. I entered all the credit card info but when it came down to finalizing the transaction my CA address triggered a hard block. As a workaround I had it shipped to a friend in Florida (go DeSantis) who shipped it to CA. The shipping cost...
I thought I would add an update because I found this interesting. I run E50 and my driving is 95+% city. I hadn't reset my trip meter for several thousand miles and I was right at 22 mpg. On my last oil change I decided to add a bottle of Liqui Moly Ceratec after reading a lot of positive...
I bought my first Supra new in 1994., a black 6 speed hardtop. I later sold it to my partner who still has it. It is pristine with 60,000 miles. I can drive it whenever I want, which isn't very often. When comparing it to my 2020 there is no question it was built in the previous century. I don't...
My succession of cars: 94 Supra twin turbo with minor mods, 94 Supra single turbo conversion with 522 whp, 2003 BMW Z4, 2006 Mustang GT, 2009 GT500, 2013 Boss 302, 2016 GT350, 2020 Supra tuned on e50.
You're right in that quarter mile "times" are not a good gauge of power since they are so dependent on launch traction. However, trap speed is much less affected by launch and is a very good indicator. I've never run on a strip either but Dragy has proven to be every bit as accurate. My best...
Little did the dealer realize when the residual was determined almost three years ago that the car would be worth more now than when I leased it. I got it for $5000 below msrp.
A very accurate measure of power to the ground is quarter mile trap speed. Get a Dragy and make some quarter mile and 60-130 mph runs and you'll know where you stand. There are various calculators online that correlate trap speed and vehicle weight and give accurate horsepower numbers.
My lease expires next March and I plan to buy it. When I go into my Toyota account it says the payoff as of today is ~33,000. Does anyone know if this is plus the remaining monthly payments or is this it? I know I could ask the dealer but I avoid dealer contact as much as I can.
While watching the video above I notice it said brake fluid reset not possible. Is there another way of resetting the brake fluid reminder since I plan to have a private shop flush the fluid.
