That makes sense. Now the message says service overdue July 2022. Speaking of brakes I was inspecting my rotors. They look as though the car has never been driven. Not a mark on them.
My 2020 has about 13,500 miles. I change the oil myself every 5000 miles and reset the maintenance reminder so I have about 3500 miles on the oil. Up until last week each time I started the engine it said Service due in 6000 miles, not that I pay attention to that. Now all of a sudden it says...
You for sure will run high 8's with better DA. My worst 60-130 is 9.14 with 2625 DA. I ran 8.62 with 1010 DA. My best is 8.27 with -410 DA. The DA readout with Dragy is incredibly useful.
I installed Toyo R888R: 305/35's on my stock rear wheels to improve traction after tune. Never had any instability when mated to stock front Michelins.
Apparently they don't hook as well as newer Nittos but they definitely look tough on this little car. The slightly taller sidewall fills the fender gap making the car look lowered and the nearly slick tread surface looks racy.
Here is a great example of what ethanol can do. My car is configured EXACTLY the same as yours, even down to the CG catted downpipe. The only difference is I have a Visconti custom E50 tune. At roughly the same DA my car does 60-130 in 8.43 sec and quarter mile trap is 126 mph on my Dragy.
In that faceoff at Willow Springs the Supra looks like an exotic compared to the other two. The Z is uninspired at best and downright homely at worst. Bring on the ricer body kits!
Quarter mile trap speed is the best indicator of power. ET obviously is highly traction dependent whereas the only thing that seems to significantly affect speed is density altitude. I've done dozens of Dragy quarter miles. Best ET was 11.5 but I never get a clean launch as all my runs are done...
I would like to amend my previous comment. Rather than saying that most guys want to know how much power they're making, I would think what most want to know how fast their cars are. The two most accurate and consistent gauges are quarter mile trap speed and 60-130 ET. Both are measured very...
Not many guys on this forum are concerned with setting records but everyone wants to know how much power they're putting out. ET is a poor gauge of power production since it can vary by a second or more depending on traction. On the other hand trap speed is much less dependent on launch. I make...
Actually trap speed is more highly correlated with power output than ET. Dragy has been shown countless times to compare very favorably with dragstrip results.
Good question. RPM kills mileage and the trans in sport mode really prolongs the time you spend in the lower gears.. If you set up sport mode but leave trans in normal mode mileage differenceshould be minimal.
In town I get 21. On a recent trip I got 31. I run E50 so mileage is less, power is more. The E85 is about $1.50 less than the 91 octane I blend it with to achieve E50. Thanks Biden.
