1) No, it should be fine. It shouldn't be enough to cause your engine to run lean unless you damaged the sensors when installing the down pipe.
2) Nope, I am running it with an HKS catback. No CEL. A CEL will be from O2 sensor which is attached to the downpipe, the catback doesn't matter.
Ok, committed to getting the items for this project now. Going to use speaker cloth rather than mesh for the holes, hopefully it will be ok with the air pressure.
Just a question on the port length (1 inch), is there a specific reason for the length? Would it matter if it is longer? I...
This is getting me excited... tadda thanks for sharing I think I will give this a crack as well.
Kiwi Greg: Where did you get the stuff this side of the world. I am looking at jaycar for the speaker ports and damping material. Not sure where to pick up the foam or speaker mesh (might just try...
I am pretty sure it will fit with that offset and width. The front Supra brakes are large, but not big brake kit sized. That model is also aimed at BMW M-spec cars, some of which have identical brake calipers to the Supra.
Also, Supra stock wheels are forged and quite light for OEM, they are...
It looks like bolts to the chasis on each side under the trim to me... Otherwise it is a a useless bar getting in the way of my seats recline.
Replacement Cusco brace with bolt holes for reference:
There is a vibration absorber just above and to the left of the damper that you can remove as well if you are ok with removing the damper for weight savings.
I am not sure it is worth the effort since you have to replace the Supra's similar brace and it doesn't look like it will clear the fins on the diff (could be wrong). Also, the Supra has the rear strut bar behind the seats unlike the Z4.
You'll need a stud conversion kit (since OEM is bolts). Studs from conversion is generally quite long compared to stock (other cars) because they are used so you can change wheels quickly (compared to bolts). So you will probably have to run open lugs. Bear in mind, like spacers, there is a...
Just put it on my matte grey supra. Fitment was good.
P.S. Don't worry, what looks like scratches under the spoiler, is just the reflection of the underside of spoiler on a bright sunny day.
All right... every Australian on the board seems to be wondering about this so I decided to try an inconclusive test in regards to the exhaust flap. I spent the my day driving (to and from work, so don't dob me in :p ) on manual mode switching between "normal" and "sport" with the windows down...
Hmm for my car, it is open when car isn't turned on. When it cold starts (basically every time I start the car in the morning), the valve is closed. It only opens again when cold start is completed. Can't be sure how it operates while moving though. Notably since changing my exhaust, "normal"...
As per other thread I created, I am keen to plan for new tyres for my wheels with the same widths as well. So far, I am ssuming people think I have settled on the golden numbers? (265/35R19 fronts and 295/35R19 rears) Seriously thinking about 305/30R19 rears as well...
Stock tyres:
Fronts TE37...
An idea just crossed my mind...
For any 2020 owners who want the 2021 cylinder head (and exhaust manifold) but wants to save a buck... Wouldn't it be possible to just use the older B58 cylinder head and manifold. It seems to be unchanged between B58B30M0 and B58B30M1.
I.e. from a 2016-2019...
Not available and Toyota does not have Supra listed as a model they retrofit carplay on either. I thin kit is just in the US, could be wrong.
We also have the quieter muffler and no remote garage controls on the rearview mirror. But we have some things the US model is missing too...
My plan was piggyback after 2,000km and ECU flash after Toyota warranty expires.
Not 100% sure what Stage 1 means, but guessing it is a stock tune based on other things I have seen on forums. It is probably worth looking at cheaper alternatives until you mod the car IMO.
Regarding locked ECU...
