Not sure about the AWE exhaust, but with stock can't you just leave the flap open and disconnect power to the solenoid.
That said, can't you just use the car system to set "sports exhaust" on?
Might be confusion on my part, but didn't Papadakis leave the engine block stock? I remember he ported the cylinder head, changed injectors, rods, camshaft and pistons for the engine. Could be wrong... Papadakis is definitely not running a stock engine...
I don't think there is any secret about offsets...
Mine aren't pushing the limits I guess:
Front: 19x9.5 +20
Rear: 19x10.5 +30
Stock:
Front: 19x9 +32
Rear: 19x10 +40
To me, as a simple guide, as wheel width increases by 0.5 inches, you can reduce offset by 12mm as long as it fits in the...
Been ages. But thought I should just put an update.
Sound with downpipe is in line with US cars, same stock exhaust sound, just a little louder.
Have Active Autowerke downpipe and HKS Dual muffler installed. No CEL so far on Australian Supra.
Slightly annoying in cabin drone from exhaust...
Sounds good. Hopefully, there isn't much in cabin drone.
To install without taking the whole exhaust off, remove the nut holding the exhaust near the exhaust/downpipe connection clamp. The rest of the exhaust can now lean backwards on their hangers so you can detach the downpipe from the...
My recommendation on getting car on 4 stands.
Jack the front before the rear. Clearance is worse in front and gets worse when car is leaning forward.
My jack (85mm) only just clears the front on stock suspension.
When jacking the rear, make sure you clear the rear fins on the differential.
I...
Apologies for the confusion. I remember reading some time ago that the B58 charging air pressure was controlled by the electronic wastegate (as well as exhaust pressure) and I might have misinterpreted this. I assumed that meant the wastegate did not fully release exhaust pressure but would...
It is not practical to add a BOV, since the B58 engine does not have an inbuilt bypass/diverter/recirculating/blowoff valve, it just uses the electronically controlled wastegate on the turbo, I assume it is more advanced than traditional wastegate valves.
Unless you change the turbos, I don't...
Wow, that is actually really cool for a bolt on kit.
Just confirming in the 2nd photo, the two pipes beside the downpipe are the wastegates for the blowoff valves for the turbos?
I am guessing it is not going to work with the stock ecu?
"True 4" downpipe" means not compatible with stock...
Stock downpipe contains a catalytic converter. This effectively reduces toxic pollutants in exhaust gas. Generally required by law.
Catless downpipe removes this catalytic converter, so illegal for street use.
Catted downpipe replaces the catalytic converter, but typically with higher flow one...
I installed the Cusco bar, you do not have to jack the car up to reach the underside of the hole. I guess it might be difficult if you lowered the car, have very large arms or stubby fingers.
Old thread, but just in case anyone else is wondering. There is an answer... but adjustability is limited.
KW DDC Plug and Play. Compatible with Supra's adaptive suspension.

Not sure about the US, but in Australia, I got the items as one of 100 (I think?) which preordered the Supra through the lottery system we had here. If it makes you feel better, I had to wait 7 months or so for delivery...
Interesting question, all the things we go through but no one tlalks about... In my personal experience.
Problem is worse on A80 Supra, It is a common issue (along with limited visibility of rear view mirror, more so with a spoiler) with traditional sports cars/coupes in general.
It is less...
Passenger side (RHD). Driver side is similar. It is at a weird angle because lights are located at an angle you are not meant to see them normally, I.e. unless you stick your head where your feet usually would be.
Australian model seems to be more in common with Europe and Japan than the US...
