Brand affinity is very strong with certain car buyers. Especially the cars at the expensive end. For example: look at a Ferrari. Terrible paint. Terrible dealership practices. Terrible reliability. Etc. Etc. and yet ...... people with $$$$ line up to buy these cars. Same for Range...
