A lot of the aluminum jacks (Harbor Freight etc.) all seem like they're sourced from the same manufacturer.
This Schwaben jack has a good combination of max height and minimum height, I've been pretty happy with it...
I haven't driven both so this is just an educated guess, but I'm going to venture that either this is effectively the case, or even that the MT's traction control could be more intrusive than the AT.
The TC on the manual punishes you for doing aggressive shifting. It's one of those where...
I don't like raspy turbo cars either.
I did the resonator delete yesterday (which was an actual five minute job once the car was on the lift thanks to V band clamps) and it got... slightly louder? Didn't seem to affect the character of the sound at all.
With the valve closed, there's still...
....4th! Holy moly.
I installed an aFe Takeda a couple weeks back, and while there's some real minor drone with the valve open, valve closed it's dead silent.
I'm swapping the resonator for a delete pipe tomorrow and we'll see how that goes. I'm still on the factory DP and plan to stay that...
It's always a poor assessment of the situation when you look at your sample of one and conclude that everyone else is crazy.
I haven't had problems either, but that doesn't mean problems don't exist.
I tracked my GT350 hard and put 10k miles on it. It burned a normal amount of oil and used...
It's not really more difficult to turn the engine backwards, you'll get the same resistance from compression in the cylinders either way. However, there are some considerations. Reverse is often a different ratio than first. And turning an engine over the wrong way could cause it to jump...
It's always hard to tell what people are actually doing when they talk about it online, so I'll explain myself more.
I should note that whenever I do a heel-toe downshift, I'm very aggressive with the clutch pedal speed almost all of the time. This isn't the only way to do it of course...
Right, but you yourself have never tried this, so what exactly what the f*** do you know?
You just wanted to come here and s*** on people and tell them they're making stuff up? Okay...
Just google search "clutch delay valve delete" and look at the thousand or so threads about it with regard to other BMW vehicles. I don't know how much more data you need.
Or just ignore this thread and keep your CDV. My Tacoma still has it, and it's never caused me any issues on that vehicle...
"Of course not!" - but if you want to get out of the vehicle while leaving it running, what do you do when you can't trust the electronic parking brake that seems to have a mind of its own?
So here's a pro tip: if you're on a hill and you park in second, your car is a lot more likely to roll than if you'd have used first or reverse instead.
No, no effect. The system doesn't know but three positions of the clutch pedal: all the way out, somewhere in between, and to the floor. The whole point of that system is that you can be absolutely sloppy with your clutch work and it doesn't matter because engine speed = road speed, so no...
