Hoping this is the right place to post: when you upgrade turbo I guess you donāt use the āheater coreā plug/sensor anymore - does anyone know what the code is that causes the cel? I checked with Bimmerlink with z4 option and the errors that show up say they wonāt throw a cel. Was hoping I...
Then I drove it around and got a bunch of white smoke/vapor - discovered I left a rag under engine near dp that got a bit roasted. Once that was out everything ran great (w/o smoke).
I wasnāt paying attention when I pulled it off - so. Wondering if someone can take a pic of the bottom line where it connects to the pump. I disconnected it and when I reconnect it seems like it snaps and locks in but looks like it could possibly not be all the way in so want to double check...
For anyone that does a lot of racing/ track days - wondering if this makes sense and if so is anyone doing it.
I know on round/oval tracks you would have neg on one side and pos on the other but most track we would normally do have a lot of turns.
depending on the direction of the track do...
thanks. Been trying to figure that out. So what is the intake manifold cooled with, ie. Coolant too and does that system have a separate pump? Wondering if itās worthwhile to have a water misting system in front of the front heat exchanger triggered at a specific temp?
so on a stock car where is most of the heat transfer to air happening? Iām used to there being an intercooler but in this setup the exchange from the hot compressed air is transferred to engine coolant and then to the radiator?
im in cali and have the AA catted dp with Dinan exhaust (installed both at the same time) and sound in normal mode is a bit louder but not much. Startup is a lot louder until it warms up but thatās about 20 secs.
so do you split the hot vs cold side. I donāt see a way to get to the back 2 bolts on the housing to get the cartridge out or how to undo the oil line at the top either without taking everything off either.
I had those on my 90 mr2 turbo. Could feel the drag from those pie plates when I turned on the headlights. One of the few things I really wanted to change out.
I did about e35 with 91 octane on map4. I should post some logs just to get some feedback but it felt really good. Pushed you into the seat after hooking in 3 gears easily which it didn't do before. Gonna get a proper tune after getting the daw cartridge installed though.
Mainly for those that race a lot but what about an air diverter (canard?) thatās 2-3 in wide that swoops up to replace the fake door vent? Would that create any beneficial downforce? And it might prevent door dings for daily use.
