Contemplating wheel spacers too. I’ve seen a lot of comments it’s okay to add spacers while tracking but do spacers cause any issues with the camber plates?
Looks like those verus are a better match for stock suspension. Are they easy to adjust at the track? Looked like the Allen nuts might be hard to get to/adjust.
decided to try this approach first - just tires/camber plates. So on stock suspension I may not be able to get all the necessary camber? Or does it depend on theplates?
I think I have a set of stock wheels/tires lined up to be dedicated (didn’t think the wife would be okay with this route but she was like - do it…. So before buying new track tires is it okay to get some decent used tires from the track? I’ve seen a few drivers do this but wasn’t sure how well...
I might not have stated what I meant quite right. The dp would be catless but there would be a cat at the muffler but only active when the valve is closed. So a straight pipe at the track but calif legal with valve closed.
I do have an AA dp and Dinan exhaust and it sounds great
So does the cat have to be at the downpipe to function? Wondering why none of the exhaust designs don’t have a valved system that goes thru a cat at the back and the muffler when valve is closed and open would be straight pass thru. Seems this would satisfy epa and track use…
Preferably with tpms and kinda local to the northern calif area. Was gonna go suspension first but spoke to wife about having set of dedicated track wheels and she was okay with that - hmmm sooo waiting for the catch… and it’s a cheaper way to start. Maybe get a set of camber plates too.
So I may go the route of ohlins, cancellor/camber plates (just do it all at the same time) but as far as what to do first - I’ve still got the stock tires and have a few more events left on them but do most see better handling going with better tires first or does the suspension make a bigger...
So I was thinking of giong this route with the ohlins too. I don’t need a full blown race car but want better handling on the track for the few days I go.
I’ve read different opinions that when in sport/+ that stock suspension stiffens - is that true and if so how does that happen and how is...
