I see plenty of cars without PI on pure800, tuned properly it should be fine. I would troubleshoot the fuel system. Maybe check the blend by hand using an ethanol tester before filling up to rule it out?
By no means am I an expert, but i would just try to go thru the process of elimination...
If the car has been running good up until recently, I would guess there must be something that might be failing. Personally, I would not want to add PI and then find out you still have a fuel component still failing.
The pump on the top of the valve cover is the high pressure pump. There is also a low pressure in-tank pump. Either way just by looking at the logs they are seeing the fueling drop, so on the tuning side they would recommend you add PI but then again they are not diagnosing the car in person...
Seeing this over the weekend kinda changed my thoughts about the downpipe. Stock car with a stock cat. Tune Only: 411hp on 93 and 485hp on e50.
I wouldve never changed the downpipe with these numbers.
Just some food for thought for those that want to run a stock Downpipe. Numbers are stock, 93 Octane tune, and last is e50 tune.
E50 tune only + drag radials and they are running 10.7-10.8 with Mikey Botti tuning.
John Visconti had a really good post about this. It's fake news. The ECU is not unlocked, but rather they are bench flashing a tune to your ECU. No changes can be made via OBD and none of the other flash platforms work so if you needed to fine tune something you would need to pull the Ecu and...
meh not really. My car is tuned and ive coded it. Not a fan of the throttle sensitivity with sport plus, but the trans does feel like it shifts slightly faster. If you already have bimmercode it worth a shot. Personally i just use the sport individual mode and only have sport + selected for the...
AMS had a bad run of charge pipes as well. I spoke with my tuner about the charge pipes since earlier turbo BMW were prone to charge pipe failures. He has tuned hundreds of Supras including Pure 700/800 cars and had not seen a problem with the OEM charge pipe. Unless you need the fittings for...
