Looks like you are in Austin. If you need the Flex kit and tune give @Zupraman (Curtis) at Performance Playground Engineering a shout. Im sure he can package up something for you.
You might get lucky. I got a screw in a tire 120 miles from home. Got home and pulled it out and it didnt even puncture..
But i also have been nearly stranded in the supra and had to plug my tire in the parking lot on my way home from the track. Thank god for 24hr walmarts.
really depends what you want. Ecutek has the most options but if I didn’t need the features i probably would’ve went with mg flasher since it’s cheap.
yeah e30 on a 93 tune would absolutely cause problems. The fueling demands of 30% ethanol is completely different and the ecu going into limp mode as a safety.
That being said… spend a little extra money for an additional e30 tune and there is a significant jump in power. You can ask the tuner...
well if you do the recall, keep in mind you will need to bench unlock the ECU afterwards. Even if its an OTS map I would datalog it and see what's happening. I have a custom e50 tune and after logging we could see that the fueling was dropping out in my 4-5 shift. 93 octane is a little...
quite a few of the local mkv guys run the Mickey Thompson street S/S or Nitto 555R2 drag radials in 19”. Their 60ft times wasn’t that much slower than mine on a Hoosier DR and their tires are streetable.
Well unless it rains ?
Sounds like throttle closure. Are you doing your pulls with VSC/Trac off?
Have you data logged the issue? Have you pulled the codes from Ecutek to see any are present?
I would really love the look of a 20" wheel and BC forged does offer it, but for me it comes down to tire options... Lots of tire options in 19" including drag radials that might be harder to find in 20"
We have plenty of good options for tuning as is. I dont see it as a good market that Cobb would want to throw their hat into. Kinda like the GTR platform... Cobb was a great platform for the R35, and then when Ecutek came along with their racerom and flex fuel options it seems that there are...
Love the way the LMs look on your car, but I think the offsets leaves a bit to be desired. Seems like BBS only builds the LMs in a few offset options instead of building a "Supra" fitment. My current wheels are 19x11 in the rear and I can run a 305 rear tire with zero rubbing.
Especially for...
while Im flattered... His car is a lot quicker than mine, especially now he's upgraded turbo.
The dead giveaway, his car is on Te37s and I run BC Forged wheels.
