Ah sorry I missed your answer.
Cool Mannheim is not far, I have some friends with alpines, porsches, cupras etc but am the only one with a supra as well.
Your tour in the Alps sounds really cool, I never drove on the "route Napoleon" actually, but remember some beautiful shootings were done...
Thanks for using bars, I have no clue with psi ?
Personally I'm using the TPMS sensor of the car, so I always compare the same thing.
Btw I read again your initial post, that wobbeling can come from many thing, I would not worry if I were you. Plus it's fun to have a car moving around under...
I'm honestly impressed this is road legal in Germany. My own experience with the german TUV almost gave me PTSD o_O
We want the protrack wheels back though
For track or for road?
For the road you can use the same pressure than the Michelin PSS for comfort, or increase a bit (+0.2 or 0.3 bars is perfectly fine) to have the tire flex less in curves. I think the BMW Z4 is recommended for a higher pressure actually, probably for better fuel economy...
I think there is a big misunderstanding about the philosophy of the 2 cars:
The supra is the "classic" RWD long hood coupe, great grand tourer, but also potent on track. The yaris/corolla are "shit-boxes" tuned to the maximum for the track.
So the yaris/corolla need to show up that they are...
Agreed, just HKS had like 3 different versions of their supercharger for the 86. So much easier than the supra that send shit codes as soon as you change the coilovers or tire pressure ?
Hi BigRon,
Are you using Bimmercode and Bimmerlink on Android or Iphone?
I'm asking because a few years back the "torque" app was recommending bluetooth for Androids and Wifi for Iphone.
Fwd cars pull themselves straight faster, especially when accelerating. But the supra is really not bad on that aspect. Caster alignment makes also a difference
Mine is called Metzger which means butcher in German. the car is red, the handler is called Metzger and put a large sticker on my car's butt, I had no choice. Also butcher fits good considering the torque curve in my mind ?
Hallo Zoran,
So glad to see some germans going on the track with their supra!
I'm in Stuttgart, also looking for some trackdays this year.
My car is 3.0L bone stock except brake pads though, so I won't be a tough competition I think :)
Beware of the risk of ripping your tire out of the rim or damaging the flank at these pressures. With semi-slicks it's ok because they heat up and increase pressure, but I don't know for road tires.
I don't own an A110 but a good friend of mine has a A110 S which has a bit more horsepower (290HP) but same max. torque than std model. We went to only one trackday so far to compare our cars.
In straight line the Alpine is very similar to the 335HP Supra, but we don't do drag race or things...
your alignment looks great (for street ?) and it’s perfectly normal for a sport car. Don’t worry about the traces in the inside of the tires, wear will be even eventually.
In Germany I would say Mercedes drivers, particularly with SUVs. Most of them are quite old, I wish they would use their self-driving car function :rolleyes1:
