NASA is doing a massive combined event with multiple regions in mid October. Ill be there as I always take off the summers. Might debate doing the August event but thats only to test to see if I've solved the misfire issue on my s2000 yet. Come down and check it out!
Barber does have fuel on site. And somehow its actually cheap. Ive been there before and the 93 had been cheaper than some local gas stations. Also, rumor has it that gas there is ethanol free or at least much higher grade. They even sell 100 and 110 along with 93. The Bucees is nor even 2 miles...
I hope getting 4 points is a joke. Thats some SEMA build stuff. I watched a friend get paralyzed (neck down) on track from a crash involving 4 points. 0/10, would not recommend.
She "drove" 2 more laps. Left it in 5th and lugged it everywhere. Or put in 3rd and just held it at 6,000 everywhere while holding up traffic. Motor sounded maybe different? Don't know if it was just a placebo effect. No CEL or anything at least.
So yesterday I wrapped up a weekend at Sebring instructing (my s2000 is still misfiring after 14 months of trying to diagnose it) but I digress. My student was a 21 year old female college graduate. First time on track and did good with her 2020 base model, automatic Hyundai Elantra.
Well as...
Luckily I've been a few times to that track. It's just Barber in July is bruuuuuutal. Sucks its a 10 hour tow though. Was able to do the TT4 record there my first time there. Enjoy!
Ill put this as nicely as possible. I know Carlos, too well. After he basically got run out of NASA TT4 for cheating he decided to create a time trial series that makes his car OP. So I'm glad you guys have to deal with him now. But we'd love more of you guys to come over to NASA though!
If...
Hey man! Love hearing that you want to jump up and starting doing TT. Ya, zero possible way to fit that Supra in TT4 (the 3.0 model at least) if you want to DM me to chat about it I'd be happy to help!
Side note, FARA rules are hot, hot garbage. I know that'll rub some people the wrong way but...
Oh come on man! You're missing out on so many great Southeast tracks. Road Atlanta, Roebling, VIR, Barber, Sebring (yes you've been but it seems like once or only a handful of times) or even CMP. All of those tracks are head and shoulders better than HMS. I can promise that!
