Not trying to go off topic too much, but do you really think our MKVs will be vintage or desired in the future somewhat similar to those 997s in reference to driver engagement?
It has always been a dream car. Classier and more traditional sports car. The A91 fell in my lap February 2023 after a few months of calling around and being dealerships “lists”. When I got the call it was either take it or they would call the next person because the original buyer who ordered...
How funny and what perfect timing for my question. How did the interior of the Porsche feel as far as space and comfort or seating position? I would definitely miss the low end torque of the B58, but in reality I just need enough power to get around slow cars in traffic, merge quickly or maybe...
I’ve had my 2023 A91 6MT since February 2023 with 5,537 miles. I’m considering selling it or trading it in for a 2010-2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S. What are you guy’s thoughts or maybe any past Porsche owners in this forum? Would it be an upgrade, lateral move or downgrade?
I’m waiting around as well to hear the sales figures. That’s too much for a z4 6MT unless you are a diehard fan of the platform. A lot of YouTube online trolls in MKV 6MT videos commenting about “being better off” waiting for the Z4 6MT instead. We’ll find out if they put their money where their...
I had the same experience and wished I had done it right away after the car left the dealership. I grew up with Honda’s and have even driven modern manual transmissions and although I get the purpose of the cdv, when someone is experienced driving manual it just gets in the way. Good for you...
As far as I know and have heard, the 2025 Z4 6MT is the same clutch and transmission as the MKV 6MT aside from the shifter itself and allegedly “better” weighted one Toyota put in the MKV.
I actually think the 2025 Z4 6MT will help push the adoption of new after market clutches once there are more owners on the road. The amount of 6MT MKV owners is just not enough for companies to develop anything,
Something is not adding up. I wonder if Toyota is simply just trying to scare you away. You should take this opportunity to upgrade the clutch to something better than stock just in case you add my mods later and unlock the ECU.
Probably the same motorcycle cop that pulled me over which has made me consider trading in my MKV for a used or older Porsche to be more under the radar. I am bone stock aside from the exhaust and catted downpipe. True story that adds more insult to injury: I take my 5 and 7 year old boys for...
I would like to one day drive an FL5. They are rare to even see on the road around here let alone drive one. My only complaint with the MKV’s manual transmission is how much power the stock clutch can withstand. BM3 Stage 1 or 2, an E50 tune and the clutch is starting to slip already. Meanwhile...
Nah. I grew up on manuals and have driven modern manuals. Although YouTube did push the hype, my MKV 6MT is an absolutely fun and rowdy car. The gearbox is exceptional and no regrets.
After it’s ceramic coated, wash it with Carpro Reset or if you want more affordable, go with Adam’s Mega foam. Gentle and it will keep your ceramic coat going long term. I have a ceramic coat on my wife’s suv from almost 3 years ago that beads like nobody’s business going strong. I use the same...
I’m in Orange County and got pulled over in Newport Beach with an Active Autoworks catted downpipe and an ARK Exhaust. Even though a couple Lambo’s drive past us who were WAY louder while we were off the side of the road. Honestly the burnt tips didn’t help which was the only thing the cop...
There aren’t a lot of options yet from the aftermarket. ACT made a clutch for T.J. Hunt when he cooked his MKV’s clutch but ACT said they don’t offer one for sale yet. I’ve read that the Uni Clutch’s dual disc approach is outdated, but some articles say it’s worth it. The only thing I know about...
