So this has been going on for several years and yet the fill level is still not at or below the level at which fluid would no longer weep? That seems a bit off to me.

Remove the fill hole plug and see if any fluid spills out, but you can't do that without lifting the car.

How do you know for certain that it is from the vent hole? Based upon comments here, the oil gets blown all over the place, making its original exit location difficult to pinpoint.

The mileage is documented on my copy of the work order (738 miles).

They did tell me I could do that, but would not guarantee that the fluid loss would not be detrimental to the diff. I don't want to void the warranty by taking the chance. I don't live 10 minutes away, either. Now if I had my own flat bed tow truck........

I think that sticker really sets the 24th Anniv models apart. When I attended an MKV meetup, the first thing I noticed was that many of the cars had mods that set their cars apart from the others. "Custom" was the theme. I fully understand why.
