Fair enough but they offset it with a great product. Toyota made bland cars and mistakes only.. last awesome car was the MKIV Supra and that was 25yrs ago.
I was super excited when they were going to actually make a MR2 sequel... do you even remember the MR-S? Celica was awesome when it came out with the 180hp GT-S but they never updated the car and it faded away into the abyss. IS300 1st gen was amazing.. sequel to it was ok but they never offered...
I don’t think toyota has the balls to build a fast car.. I dare them. Lol It’ll go against everything toyota believes in..
Their punch line should be.. if you want fast and fun then forget about buying a Toyota.
Wait a minute.. this thing is a BMW right..
I have no idea what happen to GM and the Camaro refresh.. they made that car Ugly AF!! It’s the Aztec of sports cars.
There are a lot of people here that’ll justify all things toyota and even go to extent of saying the design of a 95 Avalon was polarizing. I’m a firm believer of.. if you make...
This to me seems more realistic... just can’t imagine a Supra with fake vents.. hope those are real on the front fender and the side seems missing here but hope it’s there and functional. I’m sure some aftermarket company will enlarge them to look even nicer.
However.. they do make the new...
Fair point.. but the entire sport car idea is a nice to have and not a need to have type of thing. So.. cool stuff is what we look forward to in a car as such. ??
Instead of Toyota trying to reinvent the wheel, if they stuck this old V8 and gave us a manual transmission and an option for the 8spd auto in a shortened LC platform it would’ve been an instant success. Everyone wanted an in-line 6 but not a BMW in-line 6. Heck if that’s the case then there is...
Besides Toyota promising a very low curb weight.. I haven’t seen anything that’s exciting. Maybe a high 300 to low 400hp output on the top spec, no manual cause they don’t think people want them, possibly fake door vents, what’s really exciting you? I’m sure there are a lot of interesting...
The entire Supra community is hoping for a miracle.. but every time I see something interesting to read.. I get a little bit more disappointed. Still a lot more unknowns.. maybe.. just maybe.. there is a saving grace for this thing..
Come to Texas.. I’ll take you to a pleasure room filled with 8.4L motors couple with a manual transmission bolted on to a sexy body that shames 918s around a track for 130k. Unfortunately they’ve appreciated in value and ACRs are going for over 20-30k above msrp .. even if they are pre-owned.
Big statement.. for sure. I’m sure toyota will build an excellent car.. but without a manual I’m not sure if they understand the expectations portion.
Lol, very wrong and the car actually is 10 seconds faster around the Nürburgring than the latest ZR1. And I love my C7Z06 as well.. so I’m no Viper fanboy. I love everything that’s fast. Currently the the Vipers that left unsold are going for well above MSRP.. and only a handful dealers are...
It’s just the Camry V6 with 301hp. Everyone in that segment have abandoned V6s in favor of 4cyl turbos making around 250-260hp. Very confused as to why Toyota even updated that V6 from 268 to 301. Well I guess being the only one offers a unique market advantage.
Remember those ads that Lexus GS...
