  1. Anyone in the San Diego area?

    I'm in Penasquitos (since 1994).
  2. Anyone in the San Diego area?

That'd be great. I'd love to check it out. Thanks for offering! I'll message you about setting up a day and time.
  3. Anyone in the San Diego area?

Thanks, SD. I'll check it out, although I am primarily interested a new Supra. But because new Supras arriving at dealerships are reserved, I cannot even sit in one. New owners don't appreciate anyone touching their Supras, apparently. I started a post in the California section of this forum...
  4. Any San Diego 3.0 owners?

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate your quick responses. Rekadae (Phoenix), it looks like you're in my area. I'm new to this forum, but I'll see if I can message you. I have lots of free time, as I'm mostly retired, but always a car person.
  5. Any San Diego 3.0 owners?

I am wondering if any Supra 3.0 owners in this area can stop by to allow me to at least sit in your car. I'd also be great if I can be taken as a passenger for a 5-minute spin in the PQ area. I'm seriously considering buying a new one but would hate to do so without ever having sat in one. There...

    Thanks!
  7. Anyone in the San Diego area?

    Great, thanks!
  8. Anyone in the San Diego area?

I am wondering if any local Supra owner could allow me to at least sit and get a spin in a 2020 - 2023 3.0. The possibility of my (in the near future) ordering a car that I can't even sit in is disconcerting to say the least. I am monitoring dealerships for used ones but they are very rare...
  9. Full wrap - stealth or color that draws even more attention?

That's good advice. I've been monitoring the two large forums for 8 months. There are some very angry customers in the UK. I'm going to sell my 2014 Mazda 3 sedan and get my Lotus deposit back.
  10. Full wrap - stealth or color that draws even more attention?

Thanks. Quick question: Does the blue color have metal flake in it?
  11. Full wrap - stealth or color that draws even more attention?

I guess I didn't mention that I am retired, (and have a second car - Miata) so daily driving is not happening. Still, chipped paint bothers me. Thanks again for the tips and perspective.
  12. Full wrap - stealth or color that draws even more attention?

Thanks. I did speak to the owner of a wrap shop that has been around for many years. He said he knows of Lmbo owners who have wraps that are more than 8 years old. He mentioned yhat those who park their cars outside all the time, often have the wrap removed after as little as 3-4 years...
  13. Full wrap - stealth or color that draws even more attention?

Thanks. I guess if and when Supras become more common, the wrapped cars will stand out more than the blacks, whites, and reds. In the meantime, any color is rare. If I do get one wrapped, it'll be because I want a color that is not common on all those SUVs and EVs around here. I see quite a few...
  14. Full wrap - stealth or color that draws even more attention?

Thanks. I was quoted $2200 for clear PPF on the nose, hood, and possibly, roof. So you're saying that paint chipping will still occur with a full wrap? Can clear PPF be applied on top of the wrap in the areas mentioned above?
  15. Full wrap - stealth or color that draws even more attention?

San Diego. Crime can be a problem in certain areas, but I tend to avoid them. It's certainly not a problem where I live. I've rented (in 2019) a black 2019 McLaren 570S Spider for 24 hours and parked it in a strip mall parking lot for an hour. The car tended to draw a small crowd, but I could...
  16. Full wrap - stealth or color that draws even more attention?

Thanks. So 3M Gloss Wicked is a deep metallic purple?
  17. Full wrap - stealth or color that draws even more attention?

That's the color I am thinking about - very rare. ?
  18. Full wrap - stealth or color that draws even more attention?

The 2017 NSX is $120k, but auto loans for vehicles older than 2019 tend to be much higher. The Lotus Emira would run $110k or so, but according to owners in the UK, more than 10% of their cars are having driveability issues - not good if your closest dealership is 80 miles or more away...
  19. Full wrap - stealth or color that draws even more attention?

The main reason for a partial or full wrap is protection from pebble damage on the highway. If I were able to get a favorite paint color that is also a factory color that does not take 1 + years to receive, then a partial clear wrap at half the cost would be acceptable. However, a stealth color...
