@razorlab - any fitment or chassis issues using ther true coilover in the rear? Do you know the OD on the springs you selected? Was looking at Nitron NTR R1 and a true coilover in the rear as well. I believe they offer a 2 1/4" and 2 1/2" and maybe a 60mm OD spring - not sure th reason for the...
Just installed the rear diffuser after painting it OEM black. PITA to install. The fitment was good for me everywhere but the side flairs (much taller and wider than OEM) that end at the wheel well. The 2 metal tabs for this end of the diffuser seemed, to me, mounted in the wrong direction...
So, this sounds good but the next step would seem to be the list of tuners willing to integrate it into their tunes. When do you think that will be established? I have reached out to my tuner to see if he sees the value in this and if he will consider incorporating this variable into his tunes...
Anyone have any pointers on running the trigger wire from the battery compartment to the reflex on the passenger side firewall/kick panel? The instructions are ineresting - oh, just run the wire up to the Aux2 port on the Reflex under the rug?
Any suggestions as running wire inside this car is...
Any tricks to get these new dust boots on? They have an embedded steel ring that is extremely tight on the caliper casting. I tried sliding them to the end of the piston (as on the internet) but they are still too tight to go on evenly. any feedback would be appreciated as I don't want to tear...
Yes, I understand that if the VIN provide from a go-between to a source in China has the correct information thenit will not work for the Supra. But there is question that the VIN provided might be incorrect so I need to have someone local confirm what it is. This is the reason for my post - I...
A car in China that is unclear if the source had good information. Original VIN told to me said it was a 2020 X3 M Base Competition. And if that is true, it is NOT compatible as I think it is an S58. I just want to be sure and was hoping I could get someone to read it in the states. Sad part was...
I have acquired an ECU from which I need to confirm a VIN before sending to Femto. One local tuner could not get the VIN but did download 2 files I hoped to share with Femto to determine viability of the ECU for cloning. Unfortunately, the files were encrypted and of no use to Femto. Femto says...
Centric has nothing for MKV Supra - said it is "too new of a car and I don't understand the parts industry"? Wtf? Whatever. I will push the dealer again.
Thanks guys. I will check with Centric. And the seals I think I will re-use but the dust boots are different sizes for the front calipers. In my efforts in researching at Toyota I did learn teh 2.0 supra has different brakes and apparently there was an unfinished or "silver" caliper sold with...
Thanks Bryan. I am still struggling with the Front as there are 2 different size pistons - one ~40mm and the other ~44mm. The respective seals and boots are different sizes. If one item # (BMW or Toyota) get you both sizes then that will work. If it doesn't I am still stuck. The picture below...
I am getting my brake calipers powder coated. I removed and stripped them down to prepare them for guy. Pistons, seals and boots have been removed. The boots were a little tricky but seem in good shape. My car only has 4800 miles so all of the rubber is in good shape so I am tempted to re-use...
@zrk - really appreciate your support on this forum. Got a guy on this forum with ECU to sell but for $2K I'm not sure if what is in the picture is legit and there is no VIN. I am willing to pay but I sure would like to know it works, I will actuall get it (from overseas) and I will not piss...
So then the VIN is needed? What information does Femto need to confirm compatibility? If I get an ECU, all I have its the label and trust that it is functional.... definitely a bit risky.
I would be interested if you can still find one that I can clone to - is there a way to make sure they work on a bench? Hate to send it to Femmto and find out it won't boot. Really appreciate the time and effort. I just don't have enough bandwidth to find one. Any help would be appreciated. Am...
Thanks guys. It seemed the most logical but figured I'd ask since I came up empty everywhere else. I love this community and my car. Thanks again - looking forward to the warmer weather!
Anyone have a tip on bringing wiring into the glovebox without drilling a hole in it? Am adding a meth kit and want to put the Snow VC-50 in there. Kies says it can be done down the passenger side but I cannot seem to find a way without crushing the wires when I close the box. Any suggestions...
