I'm with you on the new blue color. My downshift blue is my preference.
I suspect the 2.0 will actually be a bit more expensive than $40K tho. Toyota has a big investment in these with BMW...they need to recoup. I'm thinking $42K-43K. 2020 3.0 MSRP will drop a bit.
Thanks for the update!
I think their draw is based on the belief they’ll be less expensive than the 3.0. Maybe but how much less with the loss of 100 hp. Guess we’ll see.
Looks familiar!
I drove to Phoenix for mine as everybody else wanted full MSRP for them...and local dealerships had a hard time getting them—waiting for the new 2.0 for 2021 I suspect.
Tucson has a nice tune shop if you’re so inclined. The owner claims his dyno’s at 610 whp so far.
Wow this thread is dead! Can't believe there aren't more SW USA owners by now. Picked up the 3.0 Premium in downshift blue last month (3/2020). Its still stock although I've bumped a few bimmer codes already. This is my daily drive and so I'm not all that anxious to sink another $5k into it...
I paid attention to the changes on various pavements. Most freeways are fine and not objectionable. However, asphalt--specifically old asphalt that has slightly deteriorated-- is the worst. Ironically, when I first took delivery, I hardly noticed it but it seems worse with 600 miles...
The Supra is my daily ride and a lot of that time is on asphalt-freeways. Does anyone else find the tire-noise irritating? I'm aware some may not mind it and some are used to lots of noise with DPs, etc. Still the low rumble (not the fake active) is taking a toll.
Your dilligence and judgement are noble. Keep in mind that home loan interest rates and new car interest rates are comparatively low...lower than they have been for years. Manufacturer financing is often 3% or less dependent on credit & term. Odds are they’ll remain low (or even lower) for...
Thanks for that info.
I didn’t hang out watching the RD for 6 mins...I will now. They don’t draw a tremendous amount of current but still...
I also don’t recall if the Belltronics has an auto-shutoff...gotta check that.
I don’t use a dash cam but I’m pretty sure lots of others do.

BlendMount manufactures a pretty nice bracket for installing a radar detector beneath the interior mirror. I picked one up for my Belltronics unit and made the better part of a day working with it.
First the BlendMount is a quality item...flat-black, all metal and very sturdy...
