Yes i've read something about that. Basically a custom tune is tricking the system. Where as XHP actually tightens up line pressure and other variables and increases the limit
Which would be a better direction?
1: Get custom tune on DME, tuner raises torque limits, safer on engine than OTS...
So i've been datalogging alot lately and my last log on Stage 2 93 OTS showed some throttle closure and torque limits exceeding target. I did share the log with PTF and they confirmed that some limits were being reached and TCU flash would take care of that.
Here is the log that that shows some...
Was out datalogging and stopped for some food. I had the OBD cable still connected and once I locked the doors the alarm went off. Unlocked, relocked, same thing.
Took me a min or two to figure out it might have to do with the cable. Weirdest thing is it won't do it with the Wifi dongle but...
Most of the gas in Canada, (east coast), has up to 10% ethanol. E10. No way around it. And yes i've heard/read that the ethanol can break down anything rubber.
I'm not sold on fuel stabilizer stuff though. Some of these cars are tuned. What does the stabilizer do to the fuel? Is it upping the...
The CANBUS wiring to the ecu connector scares the shit out of me. It's a section of this car I want to avoid as much as possible. lol
If only there was a software option Vs hardware.
You'd have to log map 2 and map 3. Map 3 is 6lbs of boost more, is it not? Could get spicey. Our 94 is is essentially E10.
"Yes, all of our grades of gas, including our Ultra 94 high octane fuel, may contain up to 10% ethanol content. This is required by federal and provincial regulations."
@a90fresh I only pump 94 octane into my car. I don't have access to E where I live nor do I have a flex fuel sensor. I would never run a lower octane but I like the fact that I can switch down to a lower octane in case I'm on a road trip somewhere and can't find 94.
Also, if I ever get a bad...
TC kills it big time. Butt radar says that was a bad run. Unfortunately that was the last track event for the year.
BTW, the new 1.2 multimap runs great.
I feel like there is a sweet spot with the Supra when it comes to doing any roll runs, 60mph +
In manual mode 3rd gear @ 60mph without brake boosting the car feels pretty slow. Because of the size of the turbo I guess you need to be in a much lower rpm range? It actually feels faster if you just...
Some depressing 1/4 times for you guys. Honestly, car behaved great, driver needs major driver mod. :)
Only got 2 runs in due to weather.
Setup: This is on Stage 2 MultiMap - Map 3 (94 octane), AA DP, NT555R2'S, lowered on Eibach springs.
Excuse Panel: tires cold, 2nd gear launch, short...
I was also told this.
Honestly i'm over the burbles. I set Map 1 to OEM, map 2, 3, 4 to disable, at idle giving it some throttle, I can't tell the difference. I'll have to drive and see if the difference is noticeable. I'm not going to waste time "tweaking" burbles, lol
That would be the advantage to the multimap. Or even use 91 ACN if it's trash gas. Lot's of areas between provinces don't have 94 octane.
P.S. I've heard Chevron 94 is kinda crappy compared to the Petro Can 94 I have here in the east. Always log. Log, log, log, log. Your 94 might not even work...
