I'm well educated thanks to plenty of friends in the community :)
Of course there is ways to fix your car if you lose your ECU in such a way, and a company charging $3700 for the service I'd expect would be ready to counter such an issue.
Between you and John I have never been harrassed or...
This works in theory unless the ECU is lost in transit to Femto. There is no backup, no file sent to you for cloning. You would likely need to involve Bosch or Toyota directly.
This is why I felt it was worth the money. I drive mostly in M mode, had never before noticed I was waiting for shift to happen after I pressed the paddles until I flashed stage 3 with sport plus mode. I concur the shifts are lighting fast now in M mode, it's certinaly the most noticable...
I think there is a lot of people out there very anxious to take such a step. I mean, can you blame them? What happens if your OEM ECU gets lost in the mail?
@zrk pointed out that customs can also bite you in the ass with extra fees and duties.
I use the dashboard and I think it's "raw oil level"
Add that to your bimmerlink dashboard and it should show you when connected the oil level in mm.
@Loco38SUP has a great informative thread on this topic that helped me when I was facing issues with the oil level sensor and oil pump.
I’m running stage 3 with some minor tweaks and it’s made driving the car more enjoyable for me. I drive a lot in M mode so the manual blip adjustments to throttle, and the overall increase in shift speed are very worth the money I spent.
I’ve also practically disabled first gear.
Okay shameless but here goes:
Anyone hiring on their product team? Recently lost my position as the only product manager for my company. Happy to provide more details and resume in PM.
For those curious I was a product manager for a company making LiDAR payloads for drones and manned aircraft...
Was disappointed my for sale post was also deleted after it was sold. Can understand why it was removed as the comments made after it was sold was unproductive, but maybe would have been nice to lock it so it could be referred to later
so what is happening here is bFlash is opting to make you send in your ecu for unlocking. They are making you ship to Belgium. They have listed prices about $1300 for the service.
lots of people have bFlash hardware, but in this case the ECUs still have to go to Belgium for a one time bench...
