MHD was my choice. Did the custom unlock with Femto which was removing torque limiters in the ecu. My first flash took 7 seconds!
wouldn’t turn back now. All the maps are great out of the box, and make smooth power through the whole range.
Set the burble type to hard, make sure your rpm limits are nice and wide, and set burble duration in sport mode to the full 2 seconds.
your neighbors will hate you, you have been warned.
Of course. MHD has a selection of maps that come with the super license. I’m currently running stage 2 (93oct) making 450hp, 470tq.
there are even further improvements I could make with a custom tune, or flashing the e40 map to bring it up just under 500hp
Partial unlock is plenty enough to get access to burble settings.
$750 for Femto unlock with shipping
$500 for MHD super license
$90 for MHD dongle
now I can set my burbles so high they wake the neighbors
Now in the future if I want ecutek, I can just find a cloneable ecu and Femto should be...
FYI: if you unlock your ecu with Femto directly, they hold on to the read file of your ecu.
If you obtain a cloneable ecu, this read file allows you to remotely clone the ecu with an bFlash master hardware. No need to send the ecu oversees again.
I’ve not seen Femto charge additional fees for...
Thankfully they are unlocking all number of ecu types beyond Supra models. Even then, it’s metric ton of effort for fleeting profits that can evaporate if their secret gets out.
This is life of a security researcher. I hope they made money on the deals with MHD, BM3 etc for custom code...
I recently had my ecu unlocked with the custom MHD unlock. My first flash after I plugged in the ecu took 7 seconds.
I plan on going with a custom tune in December along with an upgrade to my exhaust. I will make a detailed post then with dyno numbers.
Combining with some XHP tweaks, my Supra...
They are very clear about not using another provider. I used another provider and this was a mistake. Customs process is tricky and doing it the way they suggest is best to avoid “stupid questions.”
In their words.
I noticed after bumping up my power with MHD to stage 2, that xhp shift points in the default XHP stage 3 map are a bit early. Gonna adjust these out to be a bit later using a more aggressive preset.
Anyone limiting torque per gear on the trans level?
Building big boost on launch sounds beautiful. Override first gear at all times also sounds useful for the track or your mountain hairpin.
I’m gonna have to re-flash again today and play around with some of the new stuff.
This only works for me if I paddle down shift and then run it up to redline with the gear shift still in the drive position. If it’s moved over to the manual drive mode position it just bangs on the limiter for me. I don’t let it do that for long.
