You have to put the car in diagnostic mode to clear codes. Get in your car, with your foot off the brake hit the ignition button three times as quick as you can. The gauges will cycle, and you will get a chime. Read codes, then reset. Press ignition again to leave diagnostic mode.
When I...
Ok, getting some clarification, since I need to fix the CEL issue my Powerneedy has developed after 3K miles with no light.
Are you talking about drilling out the inside of the anti-fouler to allow the end of the O2 to seat down into it? If so, what size drill bit did you use?
And did you...
Alignment. For some reason these cars ship with toe out on front and/or rear. That makes for a squirrely ride when hitting a bump on cornering. Got mine set to a bit of toe in front and rear and it made a huge difference. Had .03 degrees toe out on the left front, and .26 on the right front.
Counterpoint: easy install, make driving in crappy Pittsburgh weather and roads much less stressful for debris and crud, been on over 7 months with no issues.
And saying "threw them away" rather than requested a return makes you seem to be a bit... dramatic?
Powder coated mine satin black. Bit more pop than matte, but still won't show scratches like a gloss finish can.
Local place by Pittsburgh called Totally Baked did them for me, cost $440 total, which included the dismount, mount, and roadforce balance. Very satisfied, huge improvement over...
It will be heavier than the current model's 3232 base curb weight. It will start at more than the current Sport $35K, likely more than the Touring at $40K or Nismo at $45K.
It likely will not be as fast as specs suggest, pretty much like the Infinitis.
Interesting to see final production, but...
I have the four stock 19" Michelin PSS tires from my '21, pulled less than a month after I bought the car to switch to all seasons. Been sitting in my shed since, not going to use them.
Local pick up only, cost too much to ship.
$600 for the set. Less than 1K miles on them, still have the...
Had it for a while now, with a magnet installed and a flat plate on the phone case to make it easy to attach. Have it slid all the way left, works great for nav and charging without covering the touch screen.
Added this magnet: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0756NFMCC/
And stick on metal...

You can also make a paste out of baking soda and use a q-tip. This acts like polishing compound.
Did you do any metal work/grinding near the car? Park near construction? Looks like steel bits accumulated there and rusted in the water that sits in that spot. You can use a cleaner and a small brush to get it off the paint.
It is a bit louder in Sport mode, bit more bass. I'd say that is more due to removing the wadding rather than covering the few holes. I didn't split the entire muffler as I wanted to keep normal mode quiet for highway use, plus my welding skills made this a one hour job just for this small...
Operative term in your prior vehicle "AWD". That makes a huge difference in overall launch capability.
And yes, the car is tail happy in most situations. So long as she leaves the electronic nannies on though, she will be fine. Just leave traction control fully on.
Running them now, swapped out the PSS tires as soon as I got the car in September so I could drive on non-snowy days here in PA. I like them a lot, but they are definitely a compromise for handling over a pure summer performance tire. Noticeably easier to overpower them in a hard acceleration...
Follow up on this one. The US market muffler is different inside. Looks to have a lot more wadding, and a lot less holes. Letting paint dry on it right now, and no pics of my welds cause I am a much better grinder than a welder.
I did cover the few holes that are on the sport outlet side...
Depending upon when your car was manufactured, you may want to skip the catless as you won't be able to tune it and will always have a check engine light.
Plus catless with muffler delete will be obnoxiously loud and raspy. A good quality catted DP will give you more sound without the light...
It says a lot about the car when the biggest BMW fanboi out there just cannot commit to buying it solely based on appearance, when everything else is amazing. And yeah, this baby is ugly, not going try and lie to make its parents happy.
