I like speed industry, but I ALWAYS call them to confirm stock. In fact, I basically do that with any Supra part. It was a huge mess trying to get my wheels from other vendors, backorders, half of the wheels in stock, etc. Speed Industry saved the day, but confirm stock on when ordering parts is...
Source? (Genuinely curious.)
I’m referencing this post (https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=901686) and while there may be higher output B58s, I haven’t seen those find their way into models that share similarities with the Supra. Also, not sure on the cost of ZFs, but I imagine...
I want to say yes to (edit: ultrasonic) but definitely yes to portimao.
Portimao is a bit lighter and may have slight purple tones depending on the lighting conditions. Should be no problem to find a Portimao blue BMW on the lot and check it out.
Red has no flake. Stratosphere blue is BMW portimao blue and it is metallic.
I went red and would do it over again, but stratosphere is nice and similar to a blue 350z I had. Looks good on coupes.
I really think it’s down to preference. The blue will be rarer.
There’s already been a B58 update announced/released. It’s minor - definitely not M2 power levels. I think HP or TQ actually decreased slightly. I bet that if the Supra’s powertrain is updated, it gets that. Special colors and vinyl and A9x designations are my bet.
There’s the more common hydrogen fuel cell cars that turn hydrogen into electricity then the car runs on that electricity. Then, there’s the Porsche way:
Source that confirms the technical specs and doesn’t just say ”ZF”? Not arguing - genuinely curious.
It’s just a hunch. The 86 went 9 model years without a notable technical update. There’s a thread on here talking about a B58 technical update that the Supra may likely get. I’m sure we’ll get...
I’d bet the G87 M2 gets AWD over the Supra getting any meaningful updates in its lifecycle. That’s not inconsequential. Depending on one’s goals, I think the M2 would present a better platform despite the price difference if one is ok with the looks.
I would also think that the current m2 has...

I think you’ll be pleased with the outcome.
Don’t fully tighten anything until you’re happy with the alignment.
The adjustability is a double edge sword. On one side, it doesn’t just pop into place. On the other, you’re able to make a ton of adjustments to make sure it fits how you’d like.
